welcome back to episode 2 of my summer matcha series ☀️🍵⛱️🧋

lately ive been obsessed with thai tea matcha so i wanted to make a refreshing version of it for my series
my first thought was coconut water and voila a perfect match!!

the thing i love the most about coconut water is that it doesn’t overpower my matcha and you know in this economy we cant be making a 6 gram matcha latte everyday :(
i opted for evaporated milk instead of heavy cream because i wanted to keep it light and refreshing and also to keep all the vibes of an authentic thai tea latte 🤭

thai coconut cloud matcha recipe:
thai tea syrup:
1 cup brewed thai tea + slightly less than a cup of sugar
boil until sugar dissolves completely
simmer until the syrup thickens and remove from heat

matcha:
matcha powder + warm water
whisk nicely
then add condensed milk and evaporated milk
froth until well combined and foamy

thai coconut cloud matcha:

thai tea syrup
lotssss of ice
coconut water
prepared matcha
pinch of salt
and enjoy 🧡

do try and lemme know what you guys think ◡̈

sometimes i admire my own photos and think... did i actually take those??? me??

growing up i wasn’t allowed to use instagram or facebook freely, but i could use pinterest and tumblr and i’d wish someday i could take photos like that too. that’s honestly why i started this account in 2017 hahhh. and boy oh boy have i come a long way since those tumblr days…

i still feel a little childish sometimes, pulling my phone out to take pictures of random stuff in front of people. but who cares.

not everyone notices beauty in the little things... maybe that’s why so many people feel empty or unsatisfied. we keep waiting for the "big" things to happen before we let ourselves feel good, and we forget small things matter just as much.

so if you see the world like this too, don’t let anyone stop you from taking pictures of silly things.

starting off strong with this pina colada matcha that could turn a matcha hater into a lover ;)

this was so chilly and refreshing you guys have to try it

pina colada matcha recipe:
pina colada base : canned pineapple + pineapple juice + coconut milk + condensed milk + pinch of salt + regular milk just enough to get the right consistency. and blend
matcha
ice
desiccated coconut for garnishing (optional )
make sure u make ur pina colada base sweeter than normal cuz matcha will be unsweetened so thatll help to balance eth out.

layer them together and sit back and enjoy 🍍💛☀️🌻
