What an awesome experience! Certainly a brewery that I need to come back to asap. @duesterbecksbrewingco in Elkhorn, WI is exactly the brewery I was hoping to come across and it was better than I had hoped.

Driving through nowhere Wisconsin you’d be forgiven if you missed this place, but not by me! 🤬 If you like breweries and don’t at least have this place on your map, you’re not a brewery fan.

We were fortunate to be able to meet the matriarch of the farm and hear all about this amazing place. With my Roosterbock (Amber 5.5% ABV) in hand, we enjoyed chatting with Cathy. Beautiful woman who gave us the entire history of the farm and the brewery. Exactly the kind of soul I seek out when exploring local spots.

The story here is pretty awesome, started in 2019 by Duesterbeck family. Specifically their daughter and her husband who brews the amazing beers. They survived and are now thriving while honoring Cathy’s husband Dennis with their brews like “Pig Farmer” Pale Ale.

But they are threatened by WI Prop 765 which will most likely cause this family farm of 165yrs shut down.

I try to stay out of Politics on this account. But in this case, the govt is wanting to take away not just their family’s farm, but hundreds of farms through eminent domain. Generational farms are going to be taken over for Power Transmission Lines. Do what you can to support local and family run breweries.. help them fight govt overreach and save family / local businesses. Get involved and help those that give you so much. 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Had a great time on an unplanned, well technically an unprepared for, trip into the wild.

Not a big deal here but the overall ride was a big lesson in not venturing out when you aren’t totally prepared.

Hate how the camera flattens everything out. Going down a rocky section, and I fixated on the big rock to the side. Guess what, I went where I was looking. 🤦‍♂️

The first truly awesome brewery experience on my recent cross country happened at @millstreambrewing in Amana, Iowa. Finally got the footage put together.. Ibwas so completely blown away by Amana and Steve at Millstream.

This is why I love being out there traveling and meeting people.

What can I say?? @dabrewery was a destination that did not disappoint!! Ever since @jason_kearney74 and crew put out a reel calling out all of us who enjoy their content but don’t visit the brewery, I knew what had to be done. I had to find an excuse to get near enough to Tulsa to make it into the brewery.

Jason is the man! He welcomed me in, poured a beautiful Amber and gave me a tour of the facility. It’s super impressive the operation that they have going and finding out that their Tulsa Flag is the No1 beer in Ok!! 🤯

I was soon introduced to Tony, the man behind the DA and it was so awesome to chat with him over the course of the evening. I mean it Tony, I’ll be back to ride with ya! 🍻

I pretty sampled the menu and they were all delicious. My personal fav was the Amber. So well balanced with Malt and sweetness. Crushable for an Amber.

I don’t wanna gush too much about my experience and their beers. Everyone I met was super friendly and fun to talk to. All I’m saying is, if you have the chance to be in Tulsa… freaking go!!! And thanks to Kurtis for all that amazing food!! Dude.. that Bologna was crazy!

Yesterday BLEW!! It’s ok to say that, because it was all about the wind! Hours of it.. unrelenting, brutal heat…. Just all of northern Ok and Texas can suck it!!! Why would anyone be there on purpose?!?

Absolute highlight of this trip was meeting @jason_kearney74 of @dabrewery! All the way from Los Angeles to Tulsa all because he said we like the reels but don’t come into the brewery. Well.. here I am!!

What a day!! Ended up going through neighborhoods, Amish communities, parks, just about everything.. so good I had tears in my eyes. What a day to ride and so thankful I get to experience this beautiful country.
