A big big thank you to all the wild women who braved the windy roads, rain, no cell service and joined us in the woods for one heck of an amazing weekend.

Setting up base camp w/ @wildtrailssauna was dreamy. We brought all our favorite teas, pickles, and electrolytes.

We wrote in connection with the elements Saturday afternoon in the sun and Sunday morning in the shelter of Laura’s giant tent in the rain. Sunday afternoon was full of ceremony w/ @dancingtigermm.

Cindy of @wildtrailssauna introduced us to Banya and beat and brushed our bodies with birch branches in the sauna.

Because #summer is a state of mind ☀️

Recipe below!

Ingredients:

For the base
1 cup lemon juice
4 cups water

For the basil syrup
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 cup fresh basil

To make:

1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water + 1 cup white sugar over medium high heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
2. Rinse your basil and give it a rough chop while the syrup base heats.
3. Add basil to the syrup base and bring to a boil.
4. While waiting for syrup to boil, prepare your lemonade base. 1 cup lemon juice + 4 cups of water. No sweetener yet! Shake to combine.
5. Once syrup comes to a boil, reduce to a bare simmer. Let go for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Remove from heat, and strain the syrup into the lemonade base.
7. Prepare your matcha shot according to the directions on the package.
8. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the basil lemonade, top with matcha, and enjoy!
