I wrote up an Obituary for my mom, Syndi Potter Eyre, with the help of direction from her mother Linda Potter. It is too long to share on here and can be viewed on my Facebook, I have shared the link on my Instagram bio. Funeral plans are given below and we welcome all who want to be a part of her celebration of life. 🤍

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at Metcalf Mortuary, located at 288 W. St. George Blvd. in St. George, Utah 84770.
An additional Viewing will take place at the chapel on Friday from 9:30-10:30 am.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the St George LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, located at 166 So. Main St, St. George, Utah.

Syndi requested women attending to wear white, and wants it to be treated more as a wedding celebration than a funeral.

Interment will follow at the Tonaquint Cemetery. 1777S. Dixie Dr., St. George, UT 84770

With a heavy heart full of so much love, I’m sharing that my beautiful mom and best friend, @sellingstgeorgeutah, passed away in the middle of last night after a courageous battle with stage IV Metastatic melanoma cancer. While losing her feels impossible to put into words, I am deeply grateful knowing she is finally free from pain and at peace.

My mom was one of the most incredible people I will ever know. She was hilarious, witty, endlessly loving, and the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. She could make an entire room laugh within seconds and had a way of making people feel important, understood, and deeply loved all at once.

Her children were her greatest treasures in life, and she spent every day encouraging us, believing in us, and reminding us that we could do anything we set our minds to — that we could move mountains. She poured strength, wisdom, kindness, and grace into everyone around her and carried so much light everywhere she went.

My mom held tightly to the belief that she would be reunited with loved ones after this life. Through her, I was gifted my own faith, and it is rooted in my heart and soul. I am forever grateful she gave me that, because I know with certainty that I will see her again one day. Even in the hardest moments, she carried hope and incredible strength.

There will never be another person like her. I already miss her more than I can express, but I know her love, her light, and everything she taught me will be honored living on through me and everyone’s lives she touched.

I will share funeral and memorial information once arrangements have been made.
