3rd 🥉at @adcc_official trials -99kg. I had 3 submission wins and 1 ref decision loss, then my opponent unfortunately had to bow out of the 3rd place match due to injury so the medal went to me.

The wins over this past weekend also got me ranked #18 in the world in my weight class which is cool to see, but I know I can push even further into that list.

I’m happy with what I was able to do - I overcame adversity in a few of my matches to get the win, as well as the night before day 2. I struggled to get much sleep, but at that point all the work has been put in so you just have to show up and give it full effort and let the result be what it will be, which I feel I did well.

Thanks to @goldbjj for all their help over the years, this wouldn’t be possible without them. And thanks to my team @legion_ajj , even if we have some of the most inconsistent hard training, it seems to work for me 🤣. And a special thanks to my babe @karaschniepp for everything she does to help me, she’s my secret weapon 🤫 taken in Pomona Fairplex by @breylor

Best trip of my life so far, with the love of my life. New York, Rome, Florence, Venice, Munich, Amsterdam. I’d only ever been outside of the US to Mexico before, so this opened my eyes up to what’s out there. It was great to get away from the things I’m normally focused on, and just to enjoy the moment with @karaschniepp I couldn’t ask for a better person to do it with. by @breylor

The scoop grip can lead to sweeps and leg entanglements so here’s a couple options to pass when you feel somebody reach for your leg!
