There’s a massive difference between surviving and living.

For years, my antidepressants kept me afloat. They did exactly what they needed to do; they kept me safe and stable enough. But I still felt like I was just getting by.

Everything shifted this past fall when I got my ADHD diagnosis. Putting that final piece of the puzzle in place, and getting the right medication, took me from “just surviving” to genuinely living my life. Medication didn’t change who I am; it finally allowed me to BE who I am.

• The 5-Year Gap — Studies show that women are diagnosed with ADHD an average of five years later than men, despite symptoms starting at the same age.

• The Misdiagnosis Cycle — Over 50% of adults with ADHD also battle severe anxiety or depression, often because we spend decades struggling silently without knowing why our brains work differently.

Brain chemistry isn’t a character flaw. Taking medication isn’t taking the easy way out. It can be so life-saving. #breakthestigma 🩵 by @bri_maps

First race ever and I got to do it with my bestie!!! ✅
With a time of 1:05 I’m so proud of us! 🫶🏻 Another item off the bestie bucket list! 🙌🏻

Although, I highly don’t recommend running a 10K race after two nights in a row of dancing & drinking, sore blistered feet, and getting only 3 hours of sleep 🤣

Spent the rest of the day recovering with brunch, friends, a hot tub, and of course ice cream at @nanisgelato (because it wouldn’t be a run day for @jesseprattnielsen and I if we didn’t get ice cream after hahaha 🍦)

Already planning which one we’re going to sign up for next! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻🏅 taken in Burnaby Lake Regional Park by @bri_maps

Such a fun shoot with the amazing @thesarahott and can’t wait to see how it turns out! 📸✨ Keep your eyes pealed for this release because trust me, it’s so catchy and going to be a hit! 🎶🙌🏻
