In honor of Olympia week I thought I’d drop some gems from over the years of Olympia. Haven’t gone to the expo or show in yeaaaaaaaaars and I do miss it! Maybe next year I’ll go to an expo or something. 😅

I’ve met some of the most rad people ever. Ive gained a ton of knowledge. I’ve experienced a lot and gained genuine friendships along the way. My brother was doing his second show during one Olympia. #healthyasfcuk was just super cute and damn what a time.

another Virginia City dump.

Stepped into St. Mary’s in the Mountains — the (first and) oldest Roman Catholic church in Nevada.

A little history - Father Hugh Gallagher built the first church here in 1860 for the Irish Catholic miners on the Comstock Lode, but it blew down within two years. Father Patrick Manogue rebuilt it, a bigger brick church went up in 1870 for the growing parish, then burned in the Great Fire of 1875. What’s standing today was rebuilt in 1876 and is still an active parish.

Getting to walk through and see the evolution of the church in the basement museum was so cool — actually seeing pieces from the church dating back to the late 1800s in person is just insane. It’s wild to think you’re standing in a building that’s almost 200 years old and still standing strong to this day.
