A little late but… first solo birthday cruise dump.
This trip showed me I can do things alone and I don’t have to wait or cancel just because plans shift. 27 was heavy, but it grew me. I’m stepping into 28 more grounded, more mature, and trusting the process even when I don’t see the full picture yet.

Also quick shoutout because they deserve it: Virgin Voyages did not miss. The food, the vibe, all of it. If it’s my trip, this is the boat. And that hammock? Had me in a chokehold.

Shoutout to the cruise friends I made too. You really helped make my birthday even more special.

Here’s to 28, new chapters, and continuing to walk in alignment. 🛳️✨🎂 by @briacheeks

Real life update: I sprained my back 😭
But this journey isn’t about being perfect… it’s about staying consistent.
So we’re adjusting, not quitting.

2022.

a year full of highs and lows. the year that saw me at my lowest mentally. the year that showed me just how strong I actually am. the year I started going to grad school full time while also working full time with a 4 HOUR commute round trip like a crackhead 😭. the year I turned 25. and the year I finally chose me. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot of hard lessons in 2022. In 2023, it’s on like donkey Kong. looking forward to seeing what this new year has in store for me.

there’s something so peaceful about having a balcony to yourself on a cruise. I’d suggest everyone book a solo balcony at least once in their lives.

cruises are the best way to travel. it’s like a floating all inclusive resort and you hit more than one country at a time.
