I have another major surgery coming up, to hopefully repair my abdominal wall which is a mess, ironically from so many abdominal surgeries. For at least a few months I'm not going to be able to do much in the shop or around the house, so I'm getting the reloading bench ready and I will work through the reloading components I've been sporadically hoarding over the last few years.

I realized I needed some drawers under the bench top for frequently used items that don't have a home in the tool chest, so I built these entirely out of reclaimed wood and scraps. It's nice to be able to just make what I need

The last piece for my wife's new office, for now at least. Figured walnut, chunky box joints, dovetailed drawers, and a locking file drawer. I especially like how the legs came out. I made the drawer boxes out of some old growth pine I salvaged from some 100 year old cabinets.

Walnut and hickory live edge zipper table. I'm really happy with how this turned out. It will now live in my wife's office.

Working on a filing cabinet for my wife's office. First test fit of this joint. I'm taking some design inspiration from the Greene brothers and will do these chunky rounded off proud box joints to practice hand tool work. Labor intensive, but it should be worthwhile.

I helped out a friend with some floating shelves and a cabinet door and frame to cover the electric panel in his basement bar build. All hickory and came out very nice.

Door, jamb, and trim in cherry for the bathroom remodel. As I go through this house I'll be replacing all the interior doors with solid hardwood ones made by me.

Custom bath vanity in rustic cherry with knobs and pulls made from Sapele. I spent much of the winter working on a bath remodel that involved removing and reframing all the walls, taking out a bunch of concrete to re-route sewer lines, and then I finally got to get back into the shop to make this. Super happy with how it turned out.

I haven't posted in about 9 months. I've been completely exhausted helping my oldest daughter through some serious mental health challenges. I'll be dumping photos of everything that's come out of the shop in the last few months today.

This is a walnut live edge coffee table I built for my wife's office. This slab has been sitting around for 2 years, and I didn't want to do epoxy, so I did a walnut and hickory zipper table. Credit for original design inspiration goes to @john_malecki

Sometimes people tell me to get a "real" truck. With the midgate folded down, even 14' pieces of lumber can be carried, and the rest of the time I can seat 5 reasonably sized people with a bed that locks. Does all the "real truck" stuff that I need. taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @brian.374
