NEW WORK: THE WEST TEXAS COLLECTION
Brian Siskind

Twelve photographs born from two years of annual pilgrimages to Marfa, where Siskind has discovered both creative sanctuary and artistic renewal.

The collection moves deliberately between aerial and terrestrial viewpoints, often incorporating the aircraft window frames as a compositional element.

Marfa has become essential to Siskind's creative practice as much as being a pilot, offering the kind of expansive solitude that allows for deep artistic work. These photographs represent that sustained engagement with place.

With a third expedition planned for October 2025, the artist seeks to continue this vital creative relationship through the support of collectors who understand the importance of sustained artistic investigation.

Opening my dad's flight bag after all these years was like finding a time capsule. "Make small corrections," he'd always say—turns out that works for flying and for life.

I never planned to become a pilot at 49. But there I was, white-knuckling through mountain crossings, holding my breath during first solos, and discovering why Dad loved the sky so damn much.

These essays aren't just about flying. They're about what happens when you dare to try something that terrifies you, when you seek connection with someone who's gone, when you realize it's never too late to reinvent yourself.

Eternally grateful to @isleofprinting whose brilliant cover art captures exactly what words couldn't. You nailed it, brother Bryce.

PRE-ORDER NOW (link in bio). If you've ever stared at the horizon wondering what's possible, this one's for you. Let's fly.

Short final into Gatlinburg in my 1967 Piper Cherokee. Luke's verdict on the airport came right after touchdown.

Luke and I flew my 1967 Piper Cherokee into Gatlinburg. The airport handed us a courtesy car and one rule: bring it back in an hour.
