An unreal metal Sunday night with Corpse Pile, Disembodied Tyrant, The Acacia Strain, and The Black Dahlia Murder. DT absolutely stole the show, with Acacia Strain right behind them. The first in what’s going to be a very busy April and May for metal shows. #MidlifeCrisis #Deathcore #DeathMetal taken in Starland Ballroom by @brian_cm_ferry

A hell of a Saturday with this kid: Opening Day parade, 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a little chill/nap time, she helped me build a foundation for our hose table, and ended the night with charcuterie and a fire. This is her walk-on song, BTW. #MackenzieJamesSF #girldad taken in South Brunswick Township, New Jersey by @brian_cm_ferry

Biscuits! Can’t believe this little booger turned 7 today. She fills our lives with love, humor, and intelligence beyond her years. Happy birthday, Kenzie. Chair hugs! taken in South Brunswick Township, New Jersey by @brian_cm_ferry

Monday, I was lucky enough to have scored floor seats with @thinkagainnyc to see Sleep Token on the Even In Arcadia tour. I’m not going to gate keep metal and say what is and isn’t. What I AM going to say is that these guys are amazing songwriters, insanely talented musicians, and put on an incredible performance. #sleeptokenworship #sleeptokenritual taken in Barclays Center, Brooklyn New York by @brian_cm_ferry

Fuck cancer. This one hurts so much and took some time to write. Tomas and @atthegates_official came into my life when I was a college student and forever changed the trajectory of my listening behavior (and life) for the better. They have influenced thousands of bands and are the first name people say when asked about Swedish metal and melodic death metal. I was fortunate to see them perform the entirety of their most notorious work Slaughter of the Soul in 2022. It was one of the few bucket list goals I’ve ever had. Further, at only 52 years old, it is a wake-up call to me and my friends, along with a sad reminder of losing my uncles at 49 and 44 to this disease. Thank you for everything you’ve given us, Tomas. Though we never met, this feels like losing a very close friend.

Truly heartbroken. Though I never got to see him play live during his career, Eddie was always a favorite of mine as his play was not only legendary in ability but his passion and love of the Rangers team — which was returned to him by fans — summed up what it was to truly be a Rangers hometown hero. His lore was the beginning of my passion for goaltending as a player and a fan … Giacomin, Fuhr, Roy, Vanbiesbrouck, Richter, CuJo, Lundqvist, Shesterkin. As the Rangers’ 100th anniversary season begins next month, Ed was sure to be featured prominently. Now, may it be a celebration of, and dedicated to, his greatness.

The Gr8 Chase is over! I may bleed Rangers blue, but I’ve always been a fan of Ovi’s incredible talent. How fortunate am I to have lived through the careers of both Wayne Gretzky and Alexander Ovechkin? This is a great day for the game and fans around the world. And like Gretz’s last one, he scored the big one against the Islanders … in the same number of career games. #PotvinSucks taken in South Brunswick Township, New Jersey by @brian_cm_ferry
