I’m called to share more of myself, a forever pull emanating from somewhere deep within myself. A call to share more of my art, my heart, my desires, my knowing and my curiosities.

Especially on this page here, where I am unfolding in my work as a tattoo artist, in Copenhagen and other cities that hold a piece of my heart.

But where to start when sharing my life’s passion for expression and the gift it is to share that passion on people’s bodies forever? How to adequately express my souls duty to acknowledge the significance of tattoo as an act of marking a life’s milestone, transition, or to invoke an energy of alignment. I try, word by word, to share my responsibility to hold someone in ritual and and the importance of holding that space with the utmost care, presence, and as much softness as possible when penetrating the flesh of another’s vessel. And while I look for the words while a fire in my belly ignites at the thought, the fear of not being understood, of being too much, too “woo woo”, or of not finding clientele who resonate with the intensity and intimacy of such passion dulls as the power of my soul expression bubbles, overflowing from my throat to my fingertips.

So here I am, and here you are. Sharing so as to continue to call in tribe who feel the call to body ink with invocation.

Copenhagen, I am here, tattooing, ritualizing, and remembering.

Berlin, I come to you, offering the same.

And in August and quite regularly— San Francisco, California and Tucson, Arizona—offering this work.

My inner child giggles with awe and disbelief as I build a tattoo career that is international, magnetizing clients whose value align in cities that call me back to them.

If any of these words resonate and you find yourself in these cities, reach out. Let’s create a ceremony of tattoo together.

Hi I’m Bri

I am a tattoo artist, embodiment guide and ceremonialist in Copenhagen + Berlin. And yes, a tattoo session gently incorporates pieces of all 3.

Essentially, I’m fascinated by the body, all that it can hold, its capacity for creativity and the vital importance of its delicious expression.

Before being here, I lived in California for 10+ years where I cultivated a collection of modalities and practices to support intentional spaces of expression— movement and art— both my own and igniting others to find theirs. My background in yoga, breathwork, somatic experiencing, life coaching, feminine embodiment and years of facilitating ceremonies with plant medicine all fed and expanded my love of sacred art and ceremony.

Tattoo has been a modality that has taken form after years of healing work in finding my own voice, being okay with being seen as an artist and leaning into the most permanent art form there is. I’ve always been an artist but through this work, started tattooing.

I create bold pieces for people who really mean it and are ready to step into who they know themselves to be and I do so by incorporating my years of practice in space holding into a tattoo experience that you will never forget (for more reasons then waking away with a tattoo on your body forever)

I believe this is what tattoo is meant to be and actually how ancient cultures intended the practice many many years ago. Tattoo, to me, is an initiation, a right of passage, a mark of a threshold moved through or an acknowledgment of self/truth. And I feel it’s an honor to hold, witness and doula you in such a transition.

I am calling in clients who value this sense of reverence for the body, our human experience and want to embellish their sacred bodies with art that reminds them of just that.

Who tattoos you matters. You walk away with more than art on your body but a connection to the artist and experience itself that stays with you forever.

It’s tattoo season baby 😏 by @brianahata_ink

When was the last time you sat at the altar? Do you have one? A place of contemplation and meditation. A place of presence and curiosity. To feel, to listen, to open. A place to realign and get honest with where that alignment is faltered.

We live in a stimulating world that is pulling for attention in every direction outside of ourselves. We are running and running and running so how could one possibly know who they are? What they desire? What they feel? What they fear?

So amidst the pull to be everywhere else, you light a candle and sit, choosing to be here. It is that simple yet not always easy and different every. single. time. I ask myself regularly— what am I devoted to in this chapter of life? Different chapters have different themes but the checkin ensures that I am choosing where I step.

Sharing here the moment before receiving another soul who was answering the call to sit in this way for the first time. What an honor to witness the beauty within another who is ready to start the journey of seeing themselves. Here, a space of containment before the alter for you to knock on the door of your own soul. by @brianahata_ink

A serpent and hummingbird from my time back in CA— powerful animal totems serving as reminders of the dedication to walk her unique medicine path and supporting others to walk theirs.

Thank you for your trust dear sister. It’s an honor to know you and walk this path together @melissa.younglewis by @brianahata_ink

It’s starts with presence. An invitation to pause, breathe and feel. And from this place, an exploration of intention, an emergent design and an invocation to walk in alignment with said intention.

Why wouldn’t you want your tattoo to live on your skin as a reminder of who you know yourself to be?

I’m now back in Copenhagen after a sweet revisiting of lands I used to call home. More photos of tattoos while on this adventure to come.
