[APPLICATIONS CLOSED] Brian Ca, in partnership with Le Ballet Populaire and Lucoda - Luxembourg Collective of Dance, is looking for dancers to join a Research and Development week this summer.

Dancers will be invited to participate in a week-long R&D during which they will explore a futuristic stage design with numeric art in a sensory way : considering light and set design as integral elements—in a flow that alters perceptions for both performers and audience members. It is no longer a matter of enlighten a movement, but of finding a symbiosis between the visual and physical elements that influence the dynamics of movement, space, and alter reality. The group is no longer a sum of individuals but a dynamic system integrated into a digital space in motion.

This open call is open for both professionals from Luxembourg and the great region, professionals from abroad, and dance students (under or post graduates).

- Availability required :
17th to 21st of August
(Travelling days: 16th and 22nd of August)

This R&D will cover as follows :
- a fee of 700€ incl. for the entire period
- Student fee: 450€

For dancers and dance students based outside Luxembourg and the great region :
- A per diem of 150€
- A travel reimbursement of 250€
- Accommodation

Eligibility criteria :
- Dancers must be totally available for the mentioned period of research and development
- Dancers must be willing to travel and relocate to Luxembourg for the entire period.
- Dancers must be freelancers and able to make an invoice
- Dancers must be EU based and have the right to work in Luxembourg

As the end of the season 25/26 is approaching, I would like to warmly thanks all the artists, producers, professionals and institutions who have collaborated and trusted in my projects this year.
You all have made this season incredible and I am blessed to be surrounded by people who are so kind and talented. 🤍

And I’m happy to announce that after the successful premiere or SATELLITES at Monodrama Festival, we will be touring next season in Luxembourg and abroad!

> 19+20 November at CAPE Ettelbruck,
> 15+16 December at Grand Theatre de Luxembourg.
> And from the 28th to the 31th January 2027 with a serie of 8 shows at the Brigitinnes Bruxelles!

Now I’ll finish the season teaching professional classes for the amazing dancers of @balletpreljocaj , have a great summer, and see you soon 🤍

Kann Technologie wirklich die Leere menschlicher Einsamkeit füllen?
Und kann sie menschlicher sein als der Mensch selbst?
Mit seiner neuen Arbeit SATELLITES untersucht der in Luxemburg ansässige Künstler @brianbyca die Schnittstelle zwischen Technologie und Menschlichkeit.

Im Rahmen seiner Residenz an den Uferstudios für zeitgenössischen Tanz öffnet er am Donnerstag, den 28.08.2025, um 21.00 Uhr seinen Arbeitsprozess für ein Residenz-Showing von SATELLITES im Studio 12.
Interessierte sind herzlich eingeladen daran teilzunehmen. Im Anschluss an die Präsentation lädt der Künstler zu einer offenen Diskussion über seine Arbeit ein.

Anmeldungen werden unter presse[at]uferstudios.com entgegen genommen.

Die Residenz an den Uferstudios für zeitgenössischen Tanz wird jährlich vergeben im Rahmen der Partnerschaft mit dem @kulturlx – Arts Council Luxembourg, in Kollaboration mit der Kulturabteilung der @luxemburginberlin.

Can technology really fill the void of human loneliness?
And can it be more human than humans themselves?
With his new work SATELLITES, Luxembourg-based artist Brian Ca explores the interface between technology and humanity.

As part of his residency at the Uferstudios for contemporary dance, he will open up his working process for a residency showing of SATELITTES on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 9:00 pm in Studio 12.
All those who are interested are cordially invited to attend. Following the presentation, the artist invites the audience to an open discussion about his work.

[PERFORMANCE - WE NEED TO FIND EACH OTHER] What happens if I forget to remember? How can I understand a past I haven’t lived through? Brian Ca and Douglas Becker, together with composer Mike Sherida and Yaz Sané, a multi-talented artist in dance, poetry and theater, have created this dance performance for Kufa’s 40+1 anniversary and will present it to the world for the first time on March 1st. In this performative space, a body, that of 67-year-old Douglas, lies on a dissection table as the audience enters. He asks himself: “What happens if I forget to remember? How can I understand a past I didn’t live through? What am I doing here?”
