Another amazing NYCC has come and gone, but this one was extra special. Not because @fantasticfournyc got on the news for the 3rd year in a row, but because Miles got to go to his first Con as we flawlessly pulled of Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson. Miles thought the best way to show off our awesome cosplay was to sit in the basement of Javits center and eat ice cream in the corner. taken in Javits Center by @briancg74

How do you know when it’s time to head home on the last day of NY Comic Con? When you get a book that you’ve been searching for for years….YEARS!
(At a decent price mind you)
Ms Marvel 18 completes my run of Carol Danvers first series; canceled far too soon and just before @chrisclearmountain had the chance to introduce Rogue’s storyline. The opportunity came later with Avengers annual 10 and then much much later as part of Marvel’s quarterly anthology series in the 90s
But this issue! This is the first full appearance of Mystique! Before Days of Future Past and the Brotherhood. 🥰

@heroesvillainsbrand by way of @marvel was kind enough to allow me a private tour of... my own facilities, ushered by two exceptionally well-programmed Doombots who could not have been more helpful.

Not bad for my first day @newyorkcomiccon 💚😈

Thanks @marvel & @marvelstudios !

And thank you @briancg74 and @misterabsfitness for the video and pictures!

High Tide is still about 2 hours away and the street and backyard are flooded. Everything was well prepped yesterday and we were lucky that last night’s tide wasn’t as bad as originally forecasted, but this morning is going to be the worst! #noreaster #longisland #southshore #greatsouthbay taken in Copiague Harbor, New York by @briancg74

This has been a tough week; Dolly Parton left us on Tuesday, Tim Curry on Wednesday and today, Peter Cullen passed away. The name might not be as familiar as the other two, but his voice was instantly recognizable as Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, the Narrator and Coran from Voltron, and of course, Optimus Prime.
I had the pleasure of meeting Peter years ago, at a Transformers convention in Manhattan at a time when Michael Bey hadn’t gotten his hands on the franchise yet and Beast Wars was still finding an audience. It was a small convention and the attendees were all die hard fans, hanging on his every word. I was lucky to get one of the 100 prints he signed that day (cameras on cell phones weren’t a thing yet!)
Rest in Peace Peter, Till all are One
