Blinked and somehow it’s almost August.

The last few months have been go, go, go. From spending time with friends and family to attending festivals, joining panels about the influence of creators, hosting suite experiences, filming campaigns, and getting back out on the road, it’s been a busy season.

As much as I could complain, I won’t. This is what I asked for.

There have been a few mishaps, some unexpected losses, and the kind of twists life has a way of throwing at all of us. Even so, I’m grateful for every opportunity, every lesson, and every person who’s been part of the journey.

I’m looking forward to these last five months of 2026 and finishing the year stronger than I started it.

Keep living. Keep loving life. And if you’ve been thinking about quitting, brush your shoulders off and keep going.

What’s on your list for the rest of the summer… or before this year is over? by @briankoliver

☀️The beach may be what gets people to Virginia Beach @visitvabeach, but after spending a few days here, I realized it’s everything around it that makes the destination special.

Comment GETAWAY for my 48- Hour Virginia Beach Itinerary!

🌊 I checked into the Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront @moxyvb , explored the boardwalk by bike, learned how to make cocktails at Waterman’s Spirits @watermanspirits , watched dolphins swim alongside our boat with @rudeetours, discovered local art in @thevibecreativedistrict, and enjoyed some incredible food along the way, including the she crab soup at @watermansvb .

🏖️ What surprised me most was how easy it was to fill an entire trip. Every time I turned around, there was something else worth checking out.

☀️ Virginia Beach isn’t just a beach destination. It’s a destination filled with experiences.

📌 Save this for your next getaway. What’s the first thing you’re doing when you get to Virginia Beach?

#ad Most of my days move fast. I am at home creating, editing, grabbing something quick, then heading right back out again.

Everything at home is running in the background while I move through my day, and recently I have been paying more attention to that.

As a @MyBGE customer, I have been using My Account to stay on top of how I am using energy at home. It helps me understand what is using the most and keeps me informed without interrupting my routine.

It is not about changing everything. It is about being aware and making small adjustments where it makes sense, especially going into the summer months.

If you are a BGE customer, it is worth having set up. #BGEsavings #BGESmartEnergy by @briankoliver

It’s definitely 9.5%!

Golden Monkey from Victory Brewing Company @victorybeer is a Belgian-style Tripel with notes of banana, clove, and spice, and a smooth finish.

It’s bold but still goes down easy, which probably explains why so many people keep coming back to it.

Have you tried Golden Monkey, or is it still on your list?

Cheers to bold flavors and smooth finishes! @victorymonkeys

🎶 Another Brian K. Oliver Experience is in the books!

This time, we experienced the R&B Tour featuring Chris Brown and Usher from an executive suite at Northwest Stadium @nwstadium.

One of my favorite parts of hosting these experiences has nothing to do with the concert itself. It’s bringing together a great group of people, creating an atmosphere where everyone can relax, connect, and enjoy an unforgettable time together.

❓The question I get after every suite is always the same...
“How much did everyone pay?”

💲Each guest paid $660 for executive suite access.
Was it more than a standard concert ticket? Absolutely.

But this wasn’t just about the view. It was about having the space to enjoy the show, skip the chaos that comes with packed seating areas, and create memories with people who all came for the same reason: to have an incredible night!

💫Thank you to everyone who joined me and helped make another Brian K. Oliver Experience one to remember.

One experience at a time, we’re building something special. I hope you’ll be part of the next one!

#ad If you’re a @mybge customer like me, you’re still thinking about those cold temps and high energy use from the winter.

With summer here, I know it is something a lot of us are paying more attention to. I am still in and out of the house, watching TV, getting ready, and heading out to enjoy the city. The difference now is I am more aware of how I am using energy while I do it.

Small changes like turning the thermostat up when I leave home, and using less energy in unoccupied areas makes a big difference.

I have been using My Account to better understand what is going on at home. It gives me a clearer picture of my usage so I can make smarter decisions without overthinking it.

If you are a BGE customer, it is worth setting up and checking in as we head into the warmer months. #BGEsavings #BGESmartEnergy by @briankoliver

Comment BEACH for my 48- Hour Virginia Beach Itinerary!

I hadn’t been to Virginia Beach @visitvabeach in years, and this trip reminded me why so many people keep coming back.

Home base for the trip was the @moxyvb Moxy Oceanfront, which put me right in the middle of everything.

Over a few days, I explored the oceanfront, took a cocktail-making class at Waterman’s Spirits @watermansspirits.

Got out on the water for a dolphin watching cruise with @rudeetours.

Discovered some great local restaurants like @watermansvb.

Spent time experiencing a side of Virginia Beach I hadn’t seen before.

What stood out most was how much the destination has evolved. The Virginia Beach I remembered and the Virginia Beach I experienced this week are two very different places.

Safe to say, I’ll be back.

Some weeks make all the years before them make sense.

Cannes Lions @cannes_lions was one of those weeks.

A week filled with conversations, new relationships, unexpected opportunities, and a ton of reminders that showing up consistently has a way of opening doors you never could have planned for.

I came home inspired, tanned 🥵, challenged, and even more excited about what’s ahead.

I’m especially grateful for everyone I met, every conversation we shared, and every opportunity that started with a simple introduction. Closed mouths don’t get fed.

🚀 The work continues and I’m just getting started. taken in Cannes, France by @briankoliver

Thinking about attending Cannes Lions in 2027?

Here’s what I learned after making the trip.

For years, Cannes Lions felt like one of those events I’d only watch from afar. This year, I finally experienced it for myself, and it exceeded every expectation.

In this reel, I break down:

✈️ How I got my Creator Pass
💳 What it actually cost
🎟️ How I saved thousands using points and miles
🏨 What accommodations were like
🤝 Why the networking was worth every bit of the investment

One piece of advice: don’t go just because it’s Cannes.
Go because you have a plan.

The creators, marketers, tourism leaders, agency executives, and brands you’ll meet can open doors, but only if you show up ready to build relationships and make the most of every opportunity.

If Cannes Lions is on your vision board for 2027, start planning now. Applications for Creator Passes typically open months in advance, and the earlier you prepare, the better.

Have questions about Cannes Lions? Drop them below, and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Nobody warned me I was about to eat this good in Culpeper @visitculpeperva!

From classic diner breakfasts and fresh pastries to affordable Thai food, award-winning burgers, steakhouse favorites, Maryland-approved crab dip, local wine, and grain-to-glass spirits, this trip quickly turned into a food tour.

If you’re planning a visit, do yourself a favor and come hungry.

Save this for your next Virginia road trip.
