Oh Zoe….

You were there for more than half my life. Through the happiest moments for our family, through change, through heartbreaks, through everything. You were home, and I can’t imagine home not having you in it anymore. You were the greatest friend a ten year old girl could ever ask for. You loved us so fiercely & I fear you held on as long as you did just to outlive the rest of our furry family because you were too stubborn to stop protecting your people. Sixteen years is a long time, especially for a Chow Chow.

I’ll miss dancing with you in the kitchen. I’ll miss hugging you and trying to play fetch, even though you never actually brought the ball all the way back… just dropped it five feet away and made us work for it. I’ll miss everything.

Thank you for every piece of joy you gave me.

Enjoy unlimited marshmallows and steak up there, Zoe! and say hi to all of our Harding crew- Izzy, Gus, Bach. We’ll all be together again one day, and I can’t wait for that reunion.

We said goodbye to Bachy Boy today. Our loud, loyal, lion pup. Chows are supposed to be quiet dogs, but not Bach… he barked like he had something to say, always. He never mastered a single trick… like literally ever but I guess he taught me more than I ever expected. He was there for so many years of growing up, and now I can’t imagine coming home and not seeing him greet me at the door. It’s hard to let go of the ones who raised you in their own way. I’ll miss him so much. I love you, Bach 🤍 by @brianna.harding
