Finally cool enough (and clear enough air) to get some good pictures of my dad in his @tilleyofficial hat that he won! We picked the dark navy Jasper Hat, which is a gorgeous felted wool wide brimmed fedora. In case you missed it, I submitted the last picture to the Tilley father's day contest, and I won! It is a picture of my father and his father wearing their Tilley hats together.
Thank you so much @tilleyofficial for choosing us as the recipients of your contest! We are honored to be chosen. My dad loves his new hat!! by @briannecarroll

This is my entry for the @tilleyofficial #DadsTilleyHat contest.

This photo is of both my father Kieran and his father Kieran at the SOSA gliding club in Rockton Ontario Canada for their 50th anniversary party in 1998. Both of them were members of the club and learned to fly there. They always wore their Tilley hats to keep the sun out of their eyes and keep them safe while flying. My father didn't have a lot of time and money to spend on flying at the time, but my grandfather got really into it and spent a lot of time up in the air. Both of them wore Tilley hats on all their various adventures as well. From my grandfather captaining his sailboat the Emerald, to both of them traveling the world, and even to my dad mowing the lawn, Tilley has been a staple in our family since the beginning of the company. My grandad passed away this year, but we will carry on the tradition of wearing our Tilley hats, and remember him in his.
