A million tasks on a to do list building a house.
Chipping away at those tasks as we inch closer to completion. Had a meeting today at the property.
Tile is almost done.
Appliances have been delivered.

Hudson and Greyson have started to use the @gopro more this year. It has transitioned from being little kids to “bigger” kids. I would think young adults is too far of a stretch at this point. 😂

Since they were babies and to age myself a little bit and years before I have always enjoyed photography/videography. Like a video journal which has evolved to sharing on social media. It’s an easy repository to reference year after year.

We have been on the road for most of the summer, traveling across the West Coast of the US, stopping and exploring and checking out not only different areas but different climates (Tucson is hot right now!).

Yesterday, a lady at the camp ground and her husband came up to me to ask me if Hudson and Greyson were our sons (at first I wasn’t sure where it was going), but they wanted to say how pleasurable the boys are, saying good morning in the mornings, being polite through the passing day. I almost told her she had the boys mistaken. 😂 It was really nice to hear, especially when they test our patience at times. I guess the good thing is, they can give us all their sass…but be respectful, kind and pleasurable to everyone else. We will take it. 🥰

At the end of the day, I grabbed footage off the GoPro. Watched it as I feel like scrolling through my own footage versus random social media footage is actually not rotting my brain - too much… I noticed something. That something was the perspective of our boys riding their bikes together. Cruising the RV park. Footage that actually captured the moment as these 2 young whipper snappers get older and (slightly) more mature. It was cool to see. …and cool enough to write permanently in social media databases on my page for years to come.

It’s a testament of what a partnership with your spouse can accomplish. Life isn’t easy. Life is a challenge. Doing what we can to work together as a family and work with one another as a team is rewarding. Building a Custom Home is not an easy task. I guess if you have unlimited money, maybe it would be easier. We don’t. We didn’t plan on building our home. We sold our home we thought would probably be our forever home in 2017 with a dream and a vision. Build from scratch, figure out life again. Brandon and Andrea joined our vision and we took on the challenge. Together. Brett and Alexandra started the vision architecturally and we continued on. If it wasn’t for these solid humans pulling together, it wouldn’t have happened. The statement “blood, sweat and tears” comes to mind if I was to sum it up. Much like life, we believe you must embrace it all to truly find the little bits of happiness in between. This was no easy task. We lived in our fifth wheel on the property while the process started. Neighbors complained, County Code Compliance became frequent visitors and we stayed committed, pushed forward knowing the finish line would get closer. …eventually. We had eachother. We celebrated every holiday, every Birthday, good times, bad times, exciting times and stressful times… together. We had about 490 Square Feet we called our home. The challenge for the grander finish line. It was questionable at times, but we never lost sight. Amelia stayed committed, an RV kitchen to cook meals, an RV kitchen table for the boys homework. …she stayed committed, powering though the change and adapting. That’s life though. I guess we do challenge ourselves a little more at times. ..but we did it. It takes a team. We have moved our temporary home, we removed the shipping container and cleared out our property and now what remains is the home that will hit the finish line. Yearly we head across the country during summer and it was then right time for us to get out of the way (moving our temporary living quarters) to prepare for that finish line. We are on track to be completed when we return. Jamison, you would be proud of us. Mom, I wish we could have completed it sooner, but you would be proud too. Amelia, you stuck through it. Moved our Shipping Container (on our land) ✅
Loaded up our Travel Trailer to hit the road ✅
Married our dear friends (Congrats Tyler and Kirsty) ✅
Started our Road Trip with Friends and Fam ✅
Hit the Road to head to Northern AZ ✅
