How could it not happen?

Kenney from The Top of the Steps is getting his dream card: The 1948 Bowman Stan Musial rookie.

From stumbling across his sign on the side of the road, to the world falling in love with Kenney and his shop… this has been nothing short of special.

Thank you to everyone for being part of this story.

We found Oil Can’s card at The Top of the Steps Baseball Cards… and gifted it back to him. Everyone loves Dennis and you can tell that he truly feels it.

Stay tuned for a special surprise for Kenney, the owner of Top of the Steps Baseball Cards🙏

That night, the whole shop at The Northern Hobby Den ripped boxes of 1987 Topps and 1990 Upper Deck, looking for his cards. In the end, it was the 1989 Topps Dennis Boyd card that we found earlier that day that he signed… and it was gifted back to him.

If you’re ever driving through Newport, Vermont, stop in at The Northern Hobby Den and say hi to Vaughn. This place is just like Cheers! Where everyone knows your name.

He converted his cigar shop into a card shop!

Located in Newport, Vermont, The Northern Hobby Den has such a homey feel. The owner, Vaughn, has cultivated an incredible community.

Plus, Oil Can Boyd showed up and we all ripped packs searching for his cards.

This card show defines the Hobby.

The Northern Vermont Hobby Fanfest Card Show in Derby, Vermont is truly something special. It was unlike any show I’ve been to. It felt like home.

Everyone buys, sells, and trades with each other, swaps stories about their favorite sports moments and bonds over the history of the players they love. It seems like everyone knows everyone by name, and none of it would be possible without Vaughn from Northern Hobby Den. If there is one word I could use to describe him, it would be: thoughtful. This is someone who you want to see succeed in the industry and he has created an absolutely awesome community here. Stay tuned for some great moments from his card shop and today’s show!

And Oil Can Boyd? He was incredibly engaging, full of life and genuinely loves his fans. It was a pleasure spending time with him.

We’re hauling to Northern Hobby Den! 🚚

Peak foliage season hit Maine, the leaf peepers rolled in and we had no idea every vehicle in town would be booked this week. Home Depot had our back with their last 12-foot box truck!

Huge thanks to the guys at the Home Depot in Portland, Maine for the excellent customer service. It was awesome ripping some packs with them at the front desk.

Should be a beautiful drive. Can’t wait to see everyone at the shop!
