💚Our First Release is here! We're beyond excited to launch Briar Levit: On Design, Feminism, and Friendship—a long-form, illustrated interview with the brilliant Briar Levit (@briarlevit). Starting at the 2017 Women’s March in Washington—a moment that, in light of recent events, feels like a haunting déjà vu—the conversation explores design’s intersection with activism, the role of education in a shifting conservative climate, and the evolving feminist landscape.

How did it come to life? Bikini’s publisher-in-chief, Nina Paim (@paimnina), spent two days with Briar Levit at the British Library in July 2023. Hours of conversation were carefully shaped by Bikini’s associate editor, Franca López Barbera (@frannnca). Featuring over 160 black-and-white images, the book is designed by Tereza Bettinardi (@terezabettinardi) and co-published with our sister publisher, Clube do Livro do Design (@clubedolivrodesign), which just opened pre-sales for the Portuguese edition! Type by Flávia Zimbardi (@flaviazim) and Phaedra Charles (@phaedra.xyz).

The English version debuts on November 22 in Portland. Booksellers worldwide: order now through our distributor, Idea Books (@ideabooksnl). Sales on our website will open on November 26! 💚 by @briarlevit

Saw The Dinner Party in person after looking at it in photos for years. It was special to see it with @dina.benbrahim. It’s truly impressive. The scale, the beauty, the concept.

Dina said we should make our own design dinner table version. I like that idea. Naturally Judy Chicago’s list could use some updates too, but that’s another conversation. 👀 taken in Brooklyn Museum by @briarlevit
