Hollow AbaddonBiomechanical constructs derived from unspeakable depths of depravity roam the Waste, spreading death. Sent out by the Cult to collect sacrifices for their horrible rituals, they have become a symbol of terror. Such senseless slaughter cannot be understood by man, for the cultists are no men. By imbibing the power of the Dark One, they have shed every attachment to the mortal coil, now existing in a living nightmare of His creation. The Abaddon is but one of their many horrible creations, conjured in an attempt to please the Dark One and beckon its unknowable master.Long before the world lay in ruins, the first of those who would embrace the occult were nothing more than ordinary miners. The technology of the 2100s allowed man to ravage the earth deeper and deeper, eroding it from within until civilization was forced to survive amidst a toxic miasma. In those newly found depths, the miners made the catastrophic discovery. Behind a mighty wall of rock, they came upon an ancient altar to the Dark One, built in a long bygone era by a people unknown. Cast as it was in pure, solid gold, the miners rushed to pillage it, driven by greed. But those who laid hands upon it, were instantly maddened by the vision of the Dark One. They were the first to be sacrificed and His gateway onto the mortal plane. The necromancer of Yaz' AkzhulThe old stories tell of Yaz' Akzhul, buried deep within the wildwood at the world's heart. They tell of that once gleaming place, where colossal stone abodes for the gods rose high into the sky, higher than the greatest trees and higher even than the plane of the waking world. In the full moon, the gods would descend upon those highest heaps of stone and bestow upon the priests their holy nectar in a sacrificial ritual said to be performed only in the most desperate nightmares. But the houses of the gods were built on unsound foundations and slowly, the earth beneath subsided, until the stones reached no longer higher than the trees, and the gods forsook the city. The years of communion had taken a heavy toil on the priests' minds, and they could not think to rebuild them. Instead, they conjured a nightmare and unleashed it upon the city, sowing death in a desperate attempt to lure back the gods. They failed, and so the Great priest left that terrible site, taking the lost souls of his subjects with him, in search of a way to reach his gods once more. His aeons of wandering the world blindly were put to an end when he learned of the great wand that would grant a wish in 400 years. Trench GhostA defiled corpse of the great war between heaven and hell, left to rot in no man's land. Trampled and bombed for eons, it arose from its descrated grave with a writhing hate for all of creation. The EclipsePart One: Dark HeraldIt was a sunny and chilly day, nothing was really happening. StarCape patrolled the city as usual, only stopping a few small crimes. - I guess that's how it will be today...He flew on one of the nearest buildings, took a quick rest and grabbed a bite. Suddenly, a shadow fell on him. He looked up, confused, to see the sky had darkened. Only a sliver of the sun's light could pass through the blinding dark of the eclipse.He detected a figure clad in blue robes, standing in front of the covered sun. The figure was outside the stratosphere, but Starcape's superhuman eyes could still spot him.In an instant, Starcape launched himself to the skies and soon he came face to face with the dark creature. It spoke to him in a strange tongue he could not understandܐܗܣܗܗܩܘ݂̈ܡܐܕܫܕܢܕܕܕܓܚܟܓܬܪܗܣܒܘܒܛܗܫܐܕܠ-Whatever the alien said, he thought it couldn't be for good. His assumption proved right when the creature lunged at him.Starcape was able to avoid the blow, swiftly charging up his sunfist for a counterattack. His strike landed, knocking the alien back. But now he could feel his power waning. With no sunlight to regain his strength he was left almost powerless. The now furious alien readied his fist, and plunged it in Starcape's face. Dizzy, he plummeted onto the ground at a hyper sonic speed landing in the middle of Saint Petersburg, his crash making a pile of rubble.Tattered and broken in the ruins, he was left in the mercy of the alien, he thought it was all over. He closed his eyes, bracing for the hit as the alien raised his arms.POOOWWW💥💥A beam of ions crushed the alien, who flew back with an expression of pain and disbelief.Once the smoke cleared, Starcape could see his savior. Iron mantle had arrived.Before the two heroes could exchange a word, the alien leaped off the ground with a shockwave and fled into the darkness of space after speaking again in his foreign language ܣܛܓܥܬܪܘܩܟܘܣܓܗܐܫܨܠܡܢܘܛܓܓܣܗܬܦܣܛܗܒ-Starcape was in no condition to follow him, and iron mantle had to take care of him. But they both knew this wouldn't be the last time they would see this dark figure. by @bricks.for_bricks
