I’ve been quiet here for some time, but I’m ready to come back, just a little differently than before…

Fourteen years ago I founded Bridal Rush.
What started as a simple idea grew into something so much bigger 🤍
Since then I opened our salon Bounce in Port Jefferson, my first partnership business Isla + Wolf Beauty, and most recently Bridal Rush Boston.
This journey has taught me so much about what women need, both the women I work beside and those we’ve had the privilege of taking care of for over a decade. It has also challenged and changed me as a business owner, a wife, and a mom.

I’ve been quiet here for some time as I’ve navigated who I am today compared to the woman I was 14 years ago. I’m not the same person, and as I embrace this new season of my life, it only feels fitting that our business evolves with me.
I wanted to create a space that feels beautiful but comfortable, elevated but never intimidating. A place to get your hair done, shop, meet a friend, grab a coffee, prepare for your special events or simply take a little time for yourself.

What you can expect as we undergo these changes:
A new name to umbrella everything we are currently doing and everything we are adding. A new homebase - our flagship, built around community, connection, and making women feel taken care of.

Recently I met someone who told me she had been following me for over 10 years since I first started. I can’t begin to say what that means to me. Please continue to stay connected as we share more of our plans! We are thankful for each one of you and want you all very much apart of it! - Jessica xo by @bridalrush

Happy Birthday, Kati ✨🤍 by @bridalrush

I joined Carol @highlinewigs to make sure her color match was perfect.

The next step was to cut and style her new wig so that it looks like her everyday hair 👇🏻

I do feel a wig lived in takes on a better, more natural texture in time. 100% human hair is the way to go.

I like to dry cut so I can alternate different cutting techniques and take into consideration how the hair will fall on its own. Then we shampooed, dried and styled it.

Cutting and styling wigs is something I have truly grown to love. I am so honored every time someone entrusts me with this responsibility.
I hope I have the opportunity to do more and more.

I love you Carol. You are so incredibly beautiful and I am so thankful you allowed me to be a part of this moment in your life.

Watching you stand so strong and brave is such an inspiration to so many women 💗

There’s so much to say, so I’ve decided to share this experience in segments. Because this chapter deserves to be told. 🤍
15 years ago this winter, we opened the doors to our very first salon in Port Jefferson Village.
I opened that space with my mom, never imagining all that would grow from it.
As Bridal Rush grew and life evolved, I eventually took over the salon myself, and for years our salon and bridal teams shared that little space together.
Then came COVID, and on the other side of it, Bridal Rush grew beyond anything I could have imagined. We expanded into the space upstairs, creating our very first bridal studio.
And now, five years later, we’re moving back downstairs. Back together again, for one last holiday season in the storefront where it all began.
I have so many emotions surrounding this chapter.
Bridal Rush was my baby. For a long time, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to continue owning a salon. But somewhere along the way, my vision began to change.
I realized that Bridal Rush was always meant to travel. To be on location, creating beautiful moments wherever our brides take us. And that the heart of what we were building was right where it had always been.
The salon. Where it all started.
Now, as we build our most beautiful space yet in East Setauket, the salon is finally taking center stage.
There’s something incredibly full circle about that.
This season has been difficult, emotional, exciting, and sentimental all at once. And experiencing it alongside the women I work with has created a bond I don’t think any of us could have anticipated.
Because change isn’t always easy.
And for me, change is never lateral.
It’s always about growing, evolving, and believing there’s something greater on the other side, even when getting there feels uncomfortable.
I’m so thankful for the women who have trusted me, grown with me, and believed in this vision, even through the uncertainty.
We’re not just building a beautiful new space. We’re building something we’ve all dreamed of being part of.
And somehow, 15 years later, it feels like we’re just getting started. 🤍 by @bridalrush
