Designing A Brand New Bakery in London 🧡 We’re excited to announce we’ve designed our FIRST bakery from scratch! If you’ve been following us for a little, you’ve seen us work with @signorelli_london before when we reimagined their Bakehouse (@bakehouse_by_signorelli). This time the owner of Signorelli, Rebecca, offered us the esteemed task of designing her brand new bakery in Broadgate, London completely from scratch. She told us the inspo was to evoke elements of an Italian pasticceria. As the new location is in Broadgate, it needed to function as both a place for business professionals to run to in between meetings but also a place for people to pop in and have drinks after work. All of these things went into our design choices. We’re really excited seeing this project to come to life and a few projects we have planned in the future 👀. ‘Dear Kobe’ a short film by Tobechukwu Akabogu & Su Casa. 🧡 To celebrate Kobe’s first year of life and my first year as a father, our friend Tobe spent a few days with us this past May, capturing the days leading up to Kobe’s first birthday. I wrote this letter during the process, as part of Tobe’s vision, to be a handwritten letter for her to keep and a visual montage to immortalize the milestone. Moments at Home 🫶🏽 “Home” has been weighing heavily on my mind these past few months. In two months, it’ll be seven years since I moved to London, and I literally still feel like there’s work to be done in making it feel like home. Making it feel “whole” I think part of that comes from how far removed I am from the 25 quarter life crisis girly who made the move vs. the 32 year old (dayum) woman, mother, and partner I am today. I guess when you’re constantly growing, changing, and becoming new versions of yourself, it can be difficult to ever feel truly settled. I’ve also been thinking about how much of that feeling goes beyond London. How my experiences, from childhood into adulthood, have shaped my understanding of home, stability, and belonging.
