the best summer yet

bringing in the new year with family, living under the same roof as grandparents, siblings, cousins was just what I needed. organised chaos that lightened the load and filled up my cup to the brim.

landing back home in a clear and peaceful place, grateful for lukes family and the community we are creating here that make the Italian family hole in my heart feel a little bit less tender.

our girl is ONE!

there’s limited words to describe the first year of becoming a parent but watching her grow has been the greatest gift.

she really is my biggest teacher, I have learnt so much about life and myself in this very short time. I read a reflection about having a baby and how it feels like life has just begun and it couldn’t be more true. it feels like everything else before simply was a test run at life and I’m so so excited for what’s to come and where it will take us on this wild journey.

growing a family away from your family is a big job, totally exhausting and pushes you to create your own chosen family around you. we have been held and lifted up by our friends new and old in this first year, I am forever grateful for all the help big and small! our darling daughter Forrest joined our little family on Wednesday 23rd October at the byron birth centre.

a beautiful 24hr labour that changed our lives forever in the best way possible.

we are so in-love and soaking up the newborn bubble!!
