August 21st my whole world shattered. I got to hold my dad’s hand while he took his last breath. He is my best friend and my hero. He is the only one who understands how my brain operates but that’s because his operates the same. He can calm my storm and make any bad day so much better. He is our center. He will always be our center. He fought harder than anyone could. I will forever live the way we always talked about. He is my role model and inspiration. I will forever raise awareness for neuroendocrine cancer because that is what he would want. Although cancer doesn’t define him, it is what brought our family closer than we already were (if that was possible) it taught us to have hope in dark moments and no day is promised. Live your life and do what you want. You only live once. I love you dad I miss you more than anything and I can’t imagine a day without you but I hope to make you proud❤️❤️ by @bridgette_casey

November is the best and hardest month of the year. It’s Neuroendocrine cancer awareness month. Which is amazing to be able to raise awareness but also a constant reminder that we are actually dealing with it everyday.
My dad the person I look up to the most in this world was diagnosed with advanced stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer 4 years ago. Only 1% of the world’s population has it. There is no awareness or as much research which also makes it incurable. There has been so many ups and downs but one thing for sure is he is the strongest person I know. He always deals with everything with a joke or a smile. He has taught me how to look at the positive even in the darkest moments. He always wants me to live my life and do the things I love with the people I love because you never know what’s next. I love my dad and I love my family. We will fight this battle for the rest of our lives together forever.
If you were to tell me we are still going strong after 4 years I wouldn’t believe it but here we are and I could not be more grateful!! I will always do what I can to raise awareness if that means I get my dad and my best friend by my side🖤🤍🖤 by @bridgette_casey

It’s the last day of November which means it’s the last day of Nueroendocrine Cancer Awareness Month. My dad was diagnosed in 2021 with advanced stage 4 which is scary when you hear it. 2 years ago I thought I wasn’t going to have anymore time with him. Which saying it makes my heart sink and It still doesn’t feel real it is the most sickening feeling. I love my dad more than I might admit. We joke and laugh and he is truly my best friend and such a light in my life but you didn’t hear it from me. He is the reason I am the way I am today. The sarcasm, dark humor and even our looks we are the same. I never want to have to think about a life without him ever again. He will fight this disease for the rest of his super long life. There may be ups and downs but he is the strongest person. He has so many people fighting with him. He puts everyone’s needs first. If you know me and my dad you know how we joke. He can make my very worst moments so much better and I can go from crying to laughing within seconds. I will forever wish this disease has more recognition and research. Only 1% of the worlds population gets diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. I will always do what I can to raise awareness if it means I get my dad by my side for all my life accomplishments and forever🖤🤍 by @bridgette_casey

It’s November which means it’s neuroendocrine cancer awareness month! My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer 2 year ago and only 1 year ago was the scariest thing I have ever had to deal with. My dad was in the ICU for 2 weeks while the doctors were telling my mom to get her affairs in order because he wasn’t gonna make it… but my mom fought to keep him alive even if the doctors didn’t understand and here he is today and he’s still fighting and I could not be prouder! Those of you who know, me know my dad is my best friend and literal twin. He knows how to make me laugh til I can’t breath but within seconds can make me SO mad. It’s a talent only he can do. I genuinely don’t know where I would be without him. He knows how to make any bad day or any bad situation so much better with a sarcastic comment. He hates my hugs and loves to make fun of everything I do or wear, yet still asks for my opinion on his outfits then proceeds to say I don’t care what you think, he is the biggest idiot I know and hands down the most dramatic but I love him and am so grateful to not only have him as my dad but to have him here with me! He has seriously come so far this year and has fought so hard! There may not be a cure for neuroendocrine cancer but raising awareness will hopefully get it on people’s minds🖤🤍 by @bridgette_casey
