Tonight we didn’t just judge each other’s individual designs—we discovered what truly resonates.

Throughout the summer, our riders created obstacle concepts inspired by six themes: Nature. Place. Community. Joy. Geometry. Elements.

Tonight, we combined ideas from across those designs into new mashups, then asked not only our GiddyUP riders and staff to vote, but also the unsuspecting patrons at @tonystrophyroom—many of whom had never followed Olympic show jumping, yet all of whom had a strong opinion about which design spoke to them.

And that was the revelation.

The future of our sport depends on finding what resonates with people who aren’t already part of it. That’s how we invite new fans, new supporters, and new equestrians into the conversation.

After all the votes were counted, both our team and the general public arrived at the same conclusion:

PLACE is what moves us most.

Wow.

After all the challenging narratives surrounding the 901, the design our community chose as most deserving of an Olympic arena was the one that celebrates where we’re from.

We doubt the LA 2028 Olympic Games have considered including an obstacle that represents the quiet revolution in equestrian sport happening here in the 901…

…so we’ll be happy to suggest it.

What do we have here? One almost college freshman leading the way for her peers staying behind in the barn while she heads off to TSU Nursing School! What a fabulous last summer session at the stable today— Raven has certainly set the bar high for the younger riders she continues to mentor & LOOK at how Campbell is ready to rock n roll because of what’s he’s been able to witness in his peers!

It’s only 💯🔥 degrees up@in here & here we are practicing riding trot with no irons! It’s important to remember that training with irons is really not about training strong legs. It’s about finding balance and sometimes torturing our muscles into relaxing instead of holding tight!

We’re heading into the penultimate week of our GiddyUP Summer Intensive, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch our young designers grow in confidence and creativity. Next Wednesday, we’ll crown the winners of our Obstacle Design Competition, celebrating the incredible work they’ve created throughout the summer.

We’re going to say this out loud and put it into the universe: we believe one of these obstacles will be featured in the stadium jumping phase of the Los Angeles Olympic Games. Because if we don’t believe in our potential for impact… who will?

Today’s SEEK challenged one simple question:

Can you imagine it before you find it?

Each rider chose something they hoped to discover somewhere on the farm—not something they already knew was there, but something they could picture in their mind. Then we set out to see how closely reality matched imagination.

Sometimes what we imagined was exactly what we found. Sometimes reality surprised us with something even better.

That’s the beauty of curiosity. Imagination gives us a direction, but paying attention lets the world answer back.

The best riders don’t just see a blur of green as they ride past. They notice. They compare. They wonder. They let imagination and reality work together.
