✨ it’s me - hi ✨

I thought it was time to reintroduce myself!! I’ve got a lot of new friends here and I haven’t done one of these in agesss!

Here’s a few things about me:
💕 I always have fairy hair
🫀 I think being authentically yourself is the most spectacular thing you can do. Even if it pisses others off! But also don’t be a dick - hating other people’s yums is just tacky.
🤣 I’m HILARIOUS (my shower head thinks my one liners are the best)
🤓 I read a lot…like a lot…but that’s ok! I barely sleep and my house is a mess always.
📚 My favourite genres to read are romance, romantasy, fantasy, sci fi, general fiction, historical fiction, alien smut, thrillers…basically as long as it’s not real life I’m in!
🎥 My favourite tv show is Friends and my favourite movies are LOTR. I have tattoos for both!
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 I’m disgustingly in love with my husband and we have two smallish humans, two cats, and two dogs. My cat Mowgli is my favourite child.
🧡 I started going to hockey because books and now I’m just a huge hockey lover! I go as much as I can!
👩‍🎓 I have two bachelors (education & science) and I use none of them to run my own business washing dog butts. It’s the best!
❤️‍🔥 I love my friends fiercely and loudly
🌈 I am a optimistic extrovert who loves hard, gives everything I can to the people I love, and has spectacular crocheting skills…if what you need crocheted is a peen 🍆

✨Review✨

Book: Hollow Bones
Author: @jodipicoult
Rating: 4.75/5⭐️ I need to say I’m struggling with star ratings lately because this is a 4.75 for Jodi! Which is a higher 5 than a regular 5 for me 🤣
Genre: Fiction
Themes/Key Words: 9/11, loss, motherhood, PPP, pregnancy, heartache, emergency response, crisis, joy, love, protect, ouch.

It’s rare that Jodi fails me. I’ve grown up with these books and the fact she still kills it with her twists, turns, and shades of grey never fails to amaze me. This was a devastating read about 9/11, motherhood, and loss. Bringing Jesse and his family back (from my sister’s keeper) a stroke of genius!

September 🌸

This month I read 13 books and I DNFd 1!

Highlights of September:
🌸 Most of my September was spent working, painting, and setting up my new shop for my business! It was exhausting, overwhelming, and something I’m extremely proud of!
🌸 I rebricked my Friends central perk set and framed it! I’m so happy it won’t get dusty!
🌸 I began my dangerous obsession with the Kubo Angels Poem blind boxes 🫣
🌸 My kids went to their grandmothers so I worked my ass off on opening week of my new shop 😴
🌸 My bestest girl @readswith.erin came over and we had a lovely dinner with my husband while we watched The Love Hypothesis together. Her phone memories came up while we were watching and I was in all of them *does hair flick*
🌸 I may have purchased more books than I read…but that’s fineeeee
🌸 I was visited by my nephew, and my cousins. It was lovely!
🌸 Went and saw Practical Magic 2 for bookclub…and totally forgot to talk about the book 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣
🌸 Took my family back to the very small town I grew up in! It was lovely to show them around, remember fond memories, and introduce them to people that were massive parts of my first 18 years!

Very much looking forward to October, spooky season, and more sunny days!!!
