Today is National Chronic Illness Awareness Day 🩵
Living with a chronic illness has changed my perspective in so many ways. It’s taught me strength, patience, and to celebrate the little victories. While it’s part of my story, it doesn’t define me or stop me from living my life. Today, I’m raising awareness for every invisible battle and every person fighting one.

This change gave me more than I ever could’ve expected. What started as a new opportunity quickly turned into finding a second home. This time last year I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue coaching, now a year later I’m living out my dream and couldn’t be happier. I’m so grateful for these athletes who inspire me every single day, the families for unwavering support, kindness, and trust this season, and my co-coaches who have become my best friends. From the late night comp hangouts to karaoke in the car; every moment feeling like a prayer that has been answered and fills my heart. You all made every moment unforgettable. Omega Elite truly is a family!
So thankful for this season, this journey, and this home away from home… and already so excited for what next season will bring. This was just year one❤️ #WeAreOne by @brie.williamson

There are no words strong enough to describe how it feels to say goodbye to one of the biggest pieces of my heart. My soul dog, my best friend, my whole world. You will forever be my biggest heartbreak, but also my greatest gift. Anyone who knew me, knew her. She was the sweetest girl with the biggest heart, loving everyone without hesitation and greeting every person like they were her favorite. You are my constant reminder that love never really leaves us.

Heartbroken doesn’t even begin to cover it, but I’m so grateful I got to spend your final days loving on you and doing all your favorite things. Thank you for the unconditional love, the endless joy, being my late night study buddy, and for making life so much better. You’ll forever be part of my heart, my story, and my promise kept. To my incredible team-
This season was a dream! I honestly don’t even know where to start…each day they showed up with heart, passion, and grit. While we faced many challenges, we also got to celebrate victories, and pushed each other to be better. Watching our girls grow, both as athletes and individuals, has been the most rewarding part of this season. I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you. I’m so proud of what they accomplished this season, but more importantly, I’m proud of the respect, kindness, and support they showed each other. 💚🪖 #JC4L @sa.jrcorporals

To my coaching partner-
Thank you for making my first year of coaching so special. Coaching together this year has been such an amazing experience, and I truly can’t imagine doing it with anyone else. Throughout the season we may have had many challenges and long days in the gym, but we’ve also had so many unforgettable moments on and off the mat. Thank you for always having my back, for bringing energy and perspective, and for pushing me to be a better coach every day! Thank you cheerleading for showing me what it’s like to love a sport so much you never want to give it up. Cheer has been my entire world for the last 6 years. I will never be able to put into words what cheer means to me. It has taught me some of the most important life lessons, while giving me an escape from my life problems. I not only meant some of my best friends through cheer, but they became sisters to me. I am grateful for all the support i have received, the countless memories made with my best friends, and the growth I gained on and off the mat.

I want to thank all of my coaches that I’ve had over the years. Each coach that I have had at stealth has shaped me into the person I am today and welcomed me with open arms. I was truly blessed to have had the best coaches. I especially want to thank @ericax.02 and @s3.ellica for being some of the best role models to me and helping me through some of the hardest times of my life. I have so much love and respect for them. It’s truly impossible to put into words how much they mean to me. Any athlete is so lucky to have them as a coach.

With all this being said I had to make the decision to walk away from being an athlete today. I worked so hard for 6 years and never imagined my cheer career would end like this. My heart hurts for how this is ending. Thank you to anyone that has helped shape me into the athlete i am today! I could not be more thankful for every coach and teammate that has been apart of my journey. This is the hardest goodbye i have had to make. I wish so badly that I was able to finish my last season with this team that I love and care about so much. It was never supposed to end like this. Thank you cheerleading for everything!

As I walk away from being an athlete I will continue to coach and be the best role model to these young athletes. I will pour all of my love for cheer into a different role off the mat. I can’t wait to see where coaching take me! by @brie.williamson
