An Ancient Love Story🦋

Many of you wonder what it’s like to be a bride—the excitement, the butterflies, and the promises. What it’s like to be in love. I can tell you, it wasn’t easy. Learning how to truly love, submit, and sacrifice to someone I hardly knew. It scared me, but I knew it was worth it.

Every time I cried out, He counted my tears. For everything I lost, He restored. In my nights of agony, He comforted me. Even when I ran away, He patiently waited for me. I knew He truly loved me, but I didn’t truly understand what love was. I was broken and dirty, yet He washed me with His words. He renewed my heart and soul from the trauma of this world. Through His love, He healed me.

Slowly, I began to fall in love with Him, and His glory began to radiate through me. It was in those moments that I realized that the two of us had became one. I watched as He took headship over my life. When He said “go,” I would go. When He said “stop,” I would stop. I didn’t want or need for a thing because He provided all I needed. He protected me, even when I wasn’t aware of the danger around me.

I trusted Him, grew with Him, and matured under His covering. I finally understood the sacrifice of true love. It has been such an honor to be His bride, to serve and be in relationship with Him, knowing it’s a love few have understood. He is perfect.

I remember the nights when He cried out to me, asking, “When will my bride return to me?” It was then that I recognized, I had been made ready. He presented me, unveiled, as a radiant church—without stain, wrinkle, or blemish, but holy and blameless. I was clothed in fine linen, bright and clean.

I knew the glory of the Lord was being restored, and His bride was being cleansed, returning back to her first true love. May this be a year of celebration, honor, and glorifying the Lord.
