POSTS STORIES REELS

My first post where I finally show myself.
And somehow, it feels just right ✨

2025 was the year I found myself again.
The year I started illustrating.

I never imagined my work would be so appreciated — and that’s my greatest achievement.
So grateful 🤍

A beautiful year filled with milestones, collaborations, illustrated portraits, and the beginning of my biggest dream: illustrating children’s books.
Grateful for everything I have and for this lovely community. 🫶

Thank you, 2025 🤍

For 2026, I wish for just one thing: to keep doing what I love most — illustrating.

From April, with love. ❤️ Found this illustration I made and forgot to post, as life got quite busy starting to illustrate my second kids’ book. So grateful to have you here! ✨

We’ve imagined this moment for a long time, but nothing really prepares you for it.

Watching Avery open the first box and see her story in a real book was something I’ll never forget.

When she was first navigating vitiligo, there were so many questions. So much uncertainty. And so little representation of this new her.

This became our way of giving that to her, and to any kid who’s ever felt a little different, a little unsure, or a little alone.

If even one child feels more seen, more confident, or more at peace in their own skin because of this… it’s done what we hoped it would do 🤍

Can’t believe it’s been a while since I last posted… but this felt like the perfect moment to come back ✨

Huge congrats to you, Tessa, on this amazing milestone — 30k is seriously inspiring! 💛 I’ve always loved your art, so of course I had to join this #dtiys.

Had so much fun creating this — hope you like my take!

This book started with Avery.

Her experience.
Her questions.
Her way of seeing the world.

She even had her own version of what the cover should look like (which our amazing illustrator @briella.illustrations totally used as inspo! Swipe to see where it started!)

And while it evolved over time…
the meaning behind it stayed the same.

This book exists because of her.

And more than anything, we hope it shows other kids that their stories matter too.

It’s hard to believe only 8 months ago, this book was merely a thought I had in the shower one morning, and now we’re about to go into print 🥹

We rewrote it more times than we expected.
Questioned every detail.
Went back and forth on every page, every illustration.

At some point, it stopped being “just a book.”

It became something we really believe in.

And we know we can’t spread this message alone.

Representation matters. Kids need to see differences talked about in the books they read—openly, honestly, and with care.

Avery is the only kid in her school with vitiligo. And I’m sure that can feel lonely at times.

Our hope is that this little book finds its way into homes all over the world, so kids everywhere have the tools to better understand themselves…and each other.

If this message resonates with you, sharing it would mean everything to us.

We’re getting close! Preorder now and get a signed copy when we ship out in May, and special parent companion PDF ❤️

This one feels really personal to share.

What started as something unexpected in Avery’s life turned into something that shaped her in the most beautiful way. Watching her navigate vitiligo—with curiosity, resilience, and eventually confidence—has changed us, too.

This book has been a labor of love. Late nights, big feelings, and a whole lot of heart poured into every page.

We’re almost ready to go to print (!!) and it honestly feels surreal.

Huge thank you to @briella.illustrations , our incredible illustrator, who brought this story to life in a way we couldn’t have imagined—and to everyone who’s supported, encouraged, and believed in this along the way. It means more than you know.

Pre-orders now available - buy now and receive a signed copy and some goodies when we ship out next month!

❤️ by @briella.illustrations
