Cooper fan club!!!

This rainy day was filled with sunshine. Sunshine from the way Jack looked at Brielle as she walked down the aisle. Sunshine from Brielle’s dad crying as he opened the gift she made just for him. Sunshine from speeches that had everyone laughing one minute and crying the next. Sunshine from Cooper, who spent the entire day being the best boy. And sunshine from a love story that started long before this wedding day. From sitting in the car talking about what the future might look like and wondering who they’d end up marrying, to realizing that person had been sitting right beside them all along.

Brielle & Jack!!!

There are some weddings where you leave thinking about the flowers, the dress, the music or the details. And then there are weddings like yours.

The thing I kept coming back to all day was that these two were friends first. Not the “as soon as we met, we instantly knew” friendship. The friendship where you know someone so, so deeply before you ever fall in love with them. Where the friendship means so much that the idea of risking it is terrifying.

During their vows, they shared a story about a six hour drive years ago in college. They were talking about life, the future, and what it might be like when they eventually found their person. Meanwhile, their person was sitting right next to them. I don’t know why that got me so much, but it did. 🥹

Life moves so fast and we’re always looking ahead for the next thing. Sometimes the thing you’re searching for has already found you. Long before you ever were even looking for it.

I cried a lot at this wedding… (more than I’d like to admit). I cried watching Brielle walk down the aisle. I cried during the vows. I cried watching them cry. I cried during speeches.

This day felt like being wrapped up in love from every direction. Brielle and Jack, what a privilege it was to witness the beginning of this chapter!!! If the way your friends and family love you is any indication of the life you’ve built together, you’re going to have a really beautiful one. 🫂

And I think you’ve known that for a lot longer than either of you realized. 🥹
