over the last 6 months i’ve ran less than 200 miles, and somehow (with a lot of pain & heart rate up to 230 hahaha) i was able to cover 26.2 miles yesterday.

i’m hungry to get fast & fit for boston this spring, but continuing to celebrate the victory it is to have a healthy body!!! lots of lessons learned these passed 6 months and thankful for every one of them! by @brierunsalot

3 months ago, I couldn’t run a single mile & today I got to run 26.2 of them!!!!!

Hardest race of my life, in so much pain hahahahah, but also so so so thankful to run, let alone run a marathon. PRAISE GOD FOR A HEALTHY BODY!!!!! by @brierunsalot

weeping & rejoicing! training & living! waiting & hoping! these past 5+ months have been slow & fast, challenging & relenting, but more than anything, good.

i’ve seen the faithfulness of God in the way He’s used this season to challenge, equip & provide for me. it’s crazy to say, but i wouldn’t trade these months for anything. on the other side, i see the abundance of God that would not be found in my own plans or comforts. through this injury, i’ve gotten to say yes more, slow down, hug the people that matter, find new joys & relearn my love for running.

missing boston still hurts, but there’s a greater joy despite. i can clearly see the Lord’s hand on my healing, my interactions & my progress. He’s teaching me day in and out to trust him with my body that He’s always healing & restoring.

in 10 days i’ll get to celebrate this season in the biggest way possible at the @chimarathon & i can’t wait!!!! it’s not about a time, or a goal, but the gift that it is to have a body that can run at all & praise the Lord for that!!!!! by @brierunsalot
