Garrett Cooper, my partner, my love, my best friend, and now my FIANCE. AHHHHH!!!

People told me studying abroad in college would change my life and help me find myself. I really thought it was an excuse for a 20-year-old to legally drink in Europe, take aesthetic/insta worthy pics, and eat SO SO much cheese (despite being lactose intolerant.)

I cannot thank whatever power there is that put two very stupid, very silly kids on the same Cortona trip. That pushed me to approach the guy that looked like “that Star Wars guy” and ask him to see a show with me.

Almost two months ago, I said “I do” to the person I love most in this world, surrounded by the people we hold dearest, in a city I cherish beyond words. Cortona- this tiny Tuscan town where I studied abroad 8 years ago, has given me some of my favorite memories: undeniable smiles, happy tears, a perspective on the world my 20-year-old self craved, and more Aperol spritzes than I can count. Marrying Garrett in the very town where we fell in love is now the latest memory Cortona holds for us now.

A husband, and the trip of a lifetime, shared with the friends and family. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Thank you @romanticitalianweddings for sharing your stunning Villa Baroncino, your hospitality and attention to detail were unmatched.

And to @valentinaweddings, thank you for capturing this day so beautifully and keeping us so present in it.

my wonderful, kind, and handsome as hell HUSBAND deserves his flowers too. only he could have kept me sane and grounded through a cross-country move to San Diego, two months before our destination wedding in Italy- all while finishing his PhD, starting a new job, leaving his family and friends behind, and apartment hunting while I was still stuck in Atlanta. not to mention planning the most perfect honeymoon in Malta

G, I say this all the time but I don’t think I could’ve picked a better man to spend my life with. if this is just a preview of what’s coming, I’m already over the moon. by @briewolfeee

Life is full of seasons—joy and grief, celebration and mourning, chaos and calm. This past weekend held them all: a birthday, a wedding, an anniversary, and a funeral.

I cannot express how profoundly lucky I am to have such an incredibly caring, kind and resilient man to lean on with such a steady hand to grasp.

It’s hard to believe it’s been seven years. Here’s to a lifetime of the ever changing seasons and your hand in mine. ❤️
