While Enlightenment philosophy suggests that we arrive at tabula rasa only once, at birth, this exhibition questions whether such a state can ever be reached again. Through acts of shedding, washing away, unraveling, and transformation, these artists imagine what it might mean to release the layers that have come to define us—not to erase the self, but to make space for something new.The result is a suspended moment, poised between renewal and collapse, between liberation and uncertainty. She is me, and I am her.Looking at these photos of my mom in her younger years is surreal. The resemblance is unbelievable, but it’s more than just looks—I see so much of her in me. Every photo makes me feel a little closer to her.My queen, my world, my greatest blessing. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her, love her, and wish I could hear her voice again.Until we meet again, Mom. ❤️(Also, I have no idea who that random blonde baby is because it’s not me but cute ?!) by @brigettehoffman
