A year ago, I stood at a podium with more gratitude than words could hold. Probably the most audacious thing I’d ever done.
On the other hand, intern year has truly stretched, humbled, exhausted, and transformed me. There were nights I questioned myself, moments that broke my heart, patients I will carry with me forever, and quiet victories only God truly saw. Looking back, I can sincerely say God has carried me farther than I could have carried myself.

Becoming stronger while becoming softer, the irony of residency. Becoming the physician and the person God was preparing me to be all along.
To my family, mentors, friends, co-residents, and every patient who trusted me in their most vulnerable moments: thank you for shaping me.

A year later, I’m still in awe of how far God’s grace can take you. 🤍
A couple more to go, I’m ready.

Life lately…
One week off to slow down and recharge.

Three weeks off a year in residency is first off wild. Nonetheless, grateful for the opportunity to take my foot off the gas pedal for a minute.

PGY2 year is a few months away. The years truly go by fast!
Thankful to be at this point in our lives.

Congratulations to all the MS4s on matching!

The joy and happy tears I see on the faces of MS4s matching reminds me of how incredibly blessed and privileged I am to train as a medical doctor. The exact reason I look forward to match day every year!

Hey MS4s, take some time to breath and reel it in. You have crossed a major hurdle today. Obviously the job isn’t done yet. But who cares. The next few months before residency begins are yours to live your life to the fullest.
