2nd pair of shoes needed for next week's summer intensive @masters.of.ballet.academy our lovely student from @brightonballetschool who also attends The Royal Ballet School White Lodge
It is essential for these summer intensives that if you are going to be having a pointe class each day, that you have at least 2 pairs of pointe shoes. They need to be used in rotation, so that each pair has a minimum of 24 hours to air and dry out before being worn again.
* Do not leave toe pads or any accessories inside your shoes.
* Do not leave your pointe shoes inside your dance bag.
* Do hang your pointe shoes in a well ventilated room to dry.
* Do wash and dry your toe pads.

We’re delighted to welcome Owen Morris to Brighton Ballet School this summer! ✨

A former soloist with the State Opera Varna Ballet and an internationally experienced performer, Owen has danced at the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne and the Royal Albert Hall, as well as appearing in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Alongside his performing career, he teaches at some of the UK’s leading ballet schools and vocational institutions. We can’t wait for our students to learn from his wealth of professional experience. I had the absolute pleasure of seeing @lcbballet ‘s production of Anne of Green Gables last night, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.

From the moment the curtain rose, it was easy to forget that the cast were children. The standard of performance was worthy of a professional West End production. The staging was beautifully judged—simple, subtle, and incredibly effective—allowing the story to shine.

The choreography by @jennaleechoreographer was simply outstanding. Ambitious, imaginative, and technically demanding, it challenged every dancer on that stage, yet they rose to it with remarkable confidence, artistry, and precision. Every movement drove the narrative forward so seamlessly that even the youngest audience members were completely captivated.

What impressed me most was the maturity of the storytelling. The emotion, characterisation, and commitment shown by such a young cast was genuinely remarkable.

I’ve been attending London Children’s Ballet productions for decades, and I can honestly say this may well be the finest production I’ve ever seen. Congratulations to every single performer, the creative team, and everyone behind the scenes for creating something truly special. Bravo! by @brightonballetschool

Trust your fitter !!

This dancer is at @brightonballetschool and @royalballetschool White Lodge and we fitted her into a pair of Suffolk Sheffields in a 7 XXX N. You may see that the dancer's right shoe has more of a gap around the heel than the left. This is for a 👏reason👏, not neglect or a missight. This is due to the R foot being minutely smaller in length. After this observation we tried the half size down in the same width, however, this caused discomfort and the dancer also bulged out. We then once again pivoted and tried the half size down and a half width bigger, but the dancer sunk down into the shoe, once again causing pain and discomfort. Therefore the best option for us was to go back to the original size 7 XXX N where she felt supported, secure and comfortable. It's not all about how the shoe is presenting but what's going on inside.

What a fantastic experienced I had watching Emma and her fellow students from The Royal Ballet School perform at the Next Generation Festival! The standard of performance was incredibly high and I’m excited about the future of British Ballet.
