Awesome morning at @brightstarumc! While our church will be voting on a pending merger that we planned and initiated, our church is very much alive when it comes to mission and ministry! We are still a growing church as we stand in the eve of a new season. Today we welcomed two new members. Next week, we will welcome more. This is not the end of our story, but the beginning of a new season that has been ordained by God! I look forward to Celebration Sunday on October 20 as we celebrate the rich legacy of Bright Star Church (during our final worship service at 10am) and the bright future that is yet to come! #unitedbyfaith #definedbylove #brightstarchurch #movingseason by @brightstarumc

The 5th Sunday of the month is “Service Sunday” at @brightstarumc. We carried the love of Christ outside of the church and into the community as we:
1. Played Bingo and sang Hymns at 2 assisted living centers
2. Prepared care kits for local educators
3. Provided food, clothing, and supplies at a camp for unhoused men, and
4. Offered “Coins & Care” to patrons at a local laundromat.
People were encouraged and hearts were warmed as Christ dwelled in the midst of us. 🙏🏽 taken in Douglasville, Georgia by @brightstarumc
