Nilitembea kwa neema, hata roho yangu ilipochoka kuendelea… I think the reason for my continuance was due to the fact that I believe that there are certain kinds of love that alter the architecture of a soul. A kind of love that is not spoken but more like a seed pressed into hidden soil. A kind of love that travels through migration and sacrifice, becoming root beneath generations. A kind of love that teaches the branches how to survive winds they were never meant to understand. And so this moment does not belong to me alone… It belongs to every prayer that mama planted over me like rain over dry ground. To every unseen hand that my friends, supporters, educators, and strangers extended to me while I was still rootless. And to every sacrifice my siblings made that fell like leaves so I could grow towards a light I did not yet understand.
