Happy 78th Heavenly Birthday, Mom. ❤️

As the years have passed, grief has changed. I can think about you now and laugh more than I cry. I can remember your laughter, the things you used to say, and your serious commitment to shopping 😂 and smile instead of immediately feeling the weight of losing you.

But some days still hit differently. Your birthday is one of them.

I wish you could see our family now. I wish you could have met all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who came after you left. You would have absolutely loved them, spoiled them, and probably bought them entirely too much stuff. 😂❤️

There is so much life you didn’t get to see, and sometimes that’s the part that hurts the most.

But we’re still telling your stories. We’re still laughing about you. We’re still saying your name. And through all of us, the generations that knew you and the ones who will know you through our memories, you’re still part of this family.

Today I’ll let myself miss you, but I’ll also live in the good memories. I’ll hear your laughter in my head, smile at the ridiculous stories, and be grateful that I got to call you Mom.

It’s starting to feel real. 🥹📖

There’s excitement, there are nerves, and there’s definitely a little bit of “Wait…people are actually going to read my book?!” 😂

Blood of the Bound is getting closer to becoming something I can finally place in your hands.

My debut novel. My first step into the world of ancestral fantasy. A story of memory, lineage, inheritance, desire, and the things our families carry even when we don’t know their names.

I can’t share the release date just yet, but we’re getting closer. 🖤

And I cannot wait for you to enter this world.

Happy 14th Birthday to my beautiful Buttercup! 🌼💛
