Finally got a family photo with us all smiling and I can’t believe how big my babies are starting to look 🥹 We’ve been growing so close over this time away as we navigate new countries and all the chaos that comes with it and weirdly enough, we are having more fun travelling with our kids than when we did so alone. It’s forcing us to slow down and be present with them in ways I’ve never been able to do before plus watching them learn and interact with the world that our Lord created, is a whole incredible experience in itself 🥹 by @brimaria_
7 years of marriage has taught us so much but the most important thing will always be that the closer we as individuals move towards God, the closer we move towards each other. The further away we move from God, the bigger the gap gets between us so that even the smallest differences, start to negatively amplify. Something we’ve known from the start, yet still in awe by its simplicity. Such a lovely reminder whilst watching the footage from our wedding day and remembering how deeply convicted we felt to get married young plus being so intensely filled with the Spirit all day, we could barely stop radiating love and shedding tears of joy towards each other plus it continued for numerous days after 🥹 I’m so grateful we got to spend our anniversary celebrating and thanking God for all that is good and all that he has blessed in our lives, especially each other - “Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate” - Mark 10:9 by @brimaria_
A love like no other ❤️ by @brimaria_
Such a special few days with this beautiful family when they came to visit us! 🥰 by @brimaria_
Happy first anniversary friends! Can’t believe we were all in Spain this time, last year celebrating your love and union as husband and wife ♥️ Such a special day! by @brimaria_
Our friends came to visit from Brisbane last month and it was so much fun! So grateful for the time we got to spend together and the memories we got to make ♥️ by @brimaria_
Genuinely surprised by how quickly the Blue Mountains have become our home - truly, only God ✨ Also, PSA - it’s never too late to rebuild your life, especially when it means you get to build it with God, on His Rock, the second time around (the real God of the Bible that is, not the one I barely knew and made up to suit my desires for most of life) ♥️ by @brimaria_
Throwback to our last weekend in Brisbane, celebrating my cousin @ory._ana ‘s 18th 🎉 by @brimaria_
Life lately - this year has been so much busier than we ever anticipated it would be! In the best way though, so here are some of the few moments I did happen to snap over these last few months ✨ by @brimaria_
Today on Anzac Day, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice and quiet strength of those who have served, and those who continue to serve. Today not only reminds us of Australia’s sombre history but also the real cost of service, the lives forever changed, the journeys that continue long after deployment ends and the families also affected. This year carries an extra weight for our family. It marks 10 years since Troy deployed to Afghanistan. A decade since we were marked by the unknown, by challenge and by moments that would later become part of a much bigger story marked by God’s goodness and mercy - our testimony. We are grateful for all who have served selflessly. Remembering those who never came home. Honouring both the seen and unseen battles and the God who meets us in all of it. Lest we forget. by @brimaria_
My Valentine 🥹 I have watched God restore you over the last 2 years. A man once carrying silent battles from the weight of immense trauma, now standing strong - not because the battles were forgotten but because Jesus met you there and has sustained you since. Your strength has never been loud. It is gentle. It is steady. It is surrendered. You lead our family with a masculinity the world doesn’t understand - one that kneels before the cross first and foremost, day after day. One that sacrifices more than it ever takes, joyfully. After your encounter with God, I have watched your healing turn into presence. You are here fully, for the first time in years. As a husband. As a father. As a man of God. I didn’t know I could love you more… but I do. Especially now, with Jesus at the centre of your life. Through Him, we have learned what real love looks like - love that lays itself down, love that restores, love that flows from the cross into our marriage and every aspect of our lives. You love me the way Scripture calls a husband to love - sacrificially, patiently, tenderly. You teach me, pray over us and keep Jesus at the centre of our home. You are my answered prayer. And loving, and serving you is one of my greatest joys. Thank you for making this our best season yet, Happy Valentine’s Day 🤍 . . . Also I love these throwback photos I stumbled on by our beautiful friend @onewildcollective by @brimaria_
It’s taken me ages to post the final country of our European travels and I think it’s because I knew how emotional it would make me going through the photos! If there was one place we could return back to, it would be Northern Cyprus. Not only was it the 30th country I’ve had the pleasure of visiting, we also got to be on the mission field with a family we unexpectedly met in Brisbane a few weeks prior to heading off - they were visiting home but have spent the last 7 years in Northern Cyprus, helping plant a church. Who knew it was going to be the start of such a beautiful friendship and memories that have truely marked our lives forever! During our time there, we got to hear the most incredible testimonies, some of whom have sacrificed everything to follow Jesus after He encountered them. And we also got to witness to people along our way as we explored what missions was like overseas, plus what the country had to offer historically. Luckily Northern Cyprus is rich in biblical history - starting at the Tomb of St Barnabas near Salamis (Salamina), we were reminded that this island was among the very first places the gospel reached beyond Judea. Barnabas, a Cypriot and companion of Paul (Acts 13), returned here to proclaim Christ and tradition holds that he was martyred on this soil. Exploring the vast ruins of ancient Salamis, once a thriving Roman city and early centre of Christianity, it’s humbling to imagine the Word being preached among streets now worn smooth by time. Also nearby, the stillness of Varosha, the abandoned quarter of Famagusta, stands as a solemn testimony to how quickly human strength and security can vanish. These places whisper the same truth: cities fall, empires fade, but the gospel continues to endure and God remains faithful across generations! Such an amazing 10 days, which we can clearly see God’s hand in getting us there - to a place that has marked our hearts for missions in a profound way. Now we wait with open hands, trusting the Lord with everything we learned and carried away from Northern Cyprus and the rest of our European adventures, eager to see how He will use it for His purposes, in His perfect timing. by @brimaria_
