@kyl0world has landed in Rotterdam and it’s officially BRiMBA time! While our dear @dean.monti was busy gigging today, Kyl0 and @petegalea got going with rehearsal in duo mode! Here’s a snippet of what’s to come this weekend. Friday 8th - @barzeezigtrotterdam - 20:00 Saturday 9th - @batavierhuis - 20:00 (together with @brassica.jpg ) P.S. first person to guess what polymeter we are playing in this clip gets a drink or two on us this weekend ;) #brimbafam #spideronaunicycleplayingtwister #jazzfusion #polyrhythms #rotterdammusic by @brimba_official
I am excited to host my first event at @batavierhuis in the Theaterzaal - on May 9th! With two beautiful trios: 🎶 BRiMBA @brimba_official x Brassica @brassica.jpg 🎶 BRiMBA After a long and adventurous journey, BRiMBA has finally arrived in the Netherlands – and she’s hungry! The all-Maltese trio plays their first-ever show abroad, bringing aggressive rhythmic interplay and brand-new music. Since their first outings in 2021, BRiMBA’s appetite for energetic, unrelenting sound hasn’t slowed down. Can the trio keep up? Let’s find out! Line-up: Kyle Drakard – guitar @kyl0world Dean Montanaro – electric bass @dean.monti Pete Galea – drums @petegalea Brassica Brassica is an experimental trio from Rotterdam, blending free improvisation, jazz, and alternative noise rock. Their music explores the tension between structure and rupture, where repetition builds pressure and improvisation turns physical. Proto-stoner grooves collide with intense saxophone improvisation, cascading into riffs and abrupt, high-energy bursts. Line-up: Hugo Costa – alto saxophone @hugofialhocosta Leonid Elchanin – drums Tommaso Martini – bass @_tommaso_tato_martini_ Ticket link in my bio - or via https://batavierhuis.nl We hope to see you there!!! by @brimba_official

**FINAL BRiMBA ANNOUNCEMENT** Dear all, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the abrupt end to BRiMBA. Despite having a short life, this project has been one of the most exciting and enjoyable endeavours ever for all of us involved. Sometimes life has a funny way of teaching us things, and right now what we need is to pursue other ideas and creative outputs on individual levels. What we've learned along the way will stay with us forever. We have been COMPLETELY blown away by the incredible positive response to our live shows, online listening parties, and video releases since last August and would like to thank you all one last time for making this experience what it has been. All our music is now available on YouTube (link in bio) and can also be purchased through Bandcamp, should you wish to support our future ventures. The material will also be available on Facebook and IGTV in the coming days. Thanks once again, and keep supporting the music you love. @petegalea @dijnmonti @kyledrakardmusic @eglepran 📷: @rachelmsomerville by @brimba_official
