I remember a coworker, saying don’t go to bed with a messy kitchen. I had a messy kitchen tonight and honestly didn’t feel like tackling the clean up, but had pretty good guess that the kitchen cleaning fairy wasn’t coming tonight because of the winterspring blizzard we are getting. I also knew I didn’t want to wake up to this mess. So the overwhelming appearance, got trumped by the satisfaction of going to bed with a clean kitchen and waking up to a fresh start.

Sometimes life is just messy, chaotic, and overwhelming.

And sometimes what your mind says is more complicated than reality. It’s really not a big of a deal, just get er done, and it may just only take 5 minutes to reset.

Sometimes you just need to do the next right thing even if you don’t want to, and know that discipline is doesn’t always come with motivation, but with the knowledge of it’s not what I feel, but I know what is right.

And I am going to bed with a tired body, but get to wake up to to refreshed and clean kitchen.

Better yet, Proverbs 13:4 "A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied".

I don’t take time to dry dishes, but knowing they are clean and will get put away in the morning is good enough for me! by @brinkymom

It’s a special treat that my son’s girlfriend not only likes to bake, but she is good at it! As the only female in the house, it’s quite literally and so specially sweet to have another female around! Thanks Reylee!!! by @brinkymom
