When we invest in leaders, we strengthen organizations and communities.

Grateful to Spur Local and Crimsonbridge Foundation for investing in nonprofit leadership across the DMV. Thank you to my thought partner and co-facilitator, @b_brinx06 of @brinx_files, for bringing collective leadership to life.

To Strengths Coaching Collective, Cohort 3: thank you for six months of trust, transparency, and courage. You brought real questions, tackled real challenges, and made space to learn together.

Keep leading boldly, learning out loud, and showing up for one another. by @brinx_files

What Our Leaders Are Saying

Led by @b_brinx06 of @brinx_files the Leadership Challenge Labs create space for nonprofit leaders to pause, reflect, and work through real leadership challenges together. As part of @apogee_executive_coaching , @b_brinx06 facilitates meaningful conversations that transform shared experiences into practical strategies, renewed clarity, and stronger leadership. by @brinx_files

Grateful for the partnership between @apogee_executive_coaching and @brinx_files in creating the Strengths Coaching Collective, a space where nonprofit leaders can grow alongside one another.

Barrie Moorman’s reflection captures exactly why this work matters: creating opportunities for leaders to move from the weeds to the balcony, strengthen strategic focus, deepen partnerships, and lead with greater presence and purpose.

Thank you to the incredible leaders of Cohort 3! by @brinx_files

What happens when clarity, accountability, and mission-driven leadership come together?

You get leaders like Reginald Stroble, Ed.D.

As Managing Director of College Thrive at College Track, Reginald leads national efforts focused on college access, persistence, and student success for underserved communities. Through the Strengths Coaching Collective, we at @apogee_executive_coaching and @brinx_files have the opportunity to support leaders like Reginald who are deeply committed to growing both personally and professionally.

At his best, Dr. Strouble is known for being strategic, structured, and solutions-oriented. He has the ability to bring focus to evolving work while helping teams feel supported, aligned, and connected to outcomes. @spurlocal by @brinx_files

What does transformation actually look like in leadership development?

We’re seeing it unfold in real time through @apogee_executive_coaching —a six-month coaching journey designed for nonprofit leaders committed to growing their leadership, strengthening their teams, and leading with greater intention.

Leaders like LaToya Clark, Executive Director of For Love of Children, remind us what it means to lead with both clarity and humility.

At her best, LaToya leads as a true partner—grounded in collaboration and shared ownership. She does not position herself above her team, but alongside them. That posture breaks down barriers, strengthens trust, and creates the conditions for aligned, collective impact. @b_brinx06 @brinx_files gs by @brinx_files

Day 1 with Cohort 3 of the Strengths Coaching Collective… and the impact is already undeniable.

When leaders say they gained more in one day than in entire programs combined, we know we’re doing something different. Intentional design. Real reflection. Authentic community. Thank you leaders for trusting @apogee_executive_coaching with your development.

Thankful to @brinx_files @b_brinx06 for the saying “Yes” to this idea. From a charter nonprofit leader in cohort 1…to creator and facilitator in cohort 3…this is going to be a dope journey. by @brinx_files

I’m still on Cloud 2. Today, I partnered with @apogee_executive_coaching to curate an experience for nonprofit leaders in DC that allowed them to be seen, heard, and cared for. They received it, embraced it, and took ownership of that space. I am excited to support Cohort III of the Strengths Coaching Collective - from Cohort I participant to Cohort III content creator and facilitator! Thank you for this opportunity, Dr. Samuels!

7 days until we begin.
Every detail matters when you’re creating a space for leaders to grow, stretch, and lead more intentionally.
Cohort 3 of the Strengths Coaching Collective—let’s go. by @brinx_files

I became a leadership coach because I’ve sat in the seat of leaders pouring from empty cups and not realizing it.

Talented. Committed. Exhausted. Isolated.

If you lead a nonprofit in DC, MD, or VA and know you need more than a workshop, the Strengths Coaching Collective was built for you.

We coach the whole leader — strengths, identity, values, blind spots, and growth.

This is my testimonial from my Strengths Coaching Collective experience. Two years ago, Andre Samuels, Ed.D. approached me about a new leadership development opportunity that he was creating through his company, @apogee_executive_coaching. I was a new nonprofit Executive Director and was looking for support that was both proven and affordable. As I listened to his vision for this collaborative space, I knew it met my standards and that I had to be a part of it.

I’ll fast forward the part where he had to run me down and send numerous nudges to get signed up and ready to go! I’ll just say I was overwhelmed and this was exactly why I needed the support and coaching. :-)

Joining this collective was eye opening and it provided me the space I needed to step back and examine my values, my experiences, and my trajectory. It gave me tools that I could use the very next day and it opened up space for both reflection and reset - space that I didn’t always allow for myself.

Fast forward two years after my experience in the founding cohort and here I am standing beside Andre as a co-creator of the Cohort III experience through my company Brinx Education Consulting Group LLC. I still have a lot to learn as a nonprofit leader but I also have so much to share. I can’t wait to lead our Leadership Challenge Labs and learn from other leaders in this new space offered to this next cohort.
