Yesterday, I happened to be driving by the corner of Thousand Oaks Boulevard & Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, CA, where Paul Kessler, an elderly Jewish man, was fatally struck in the head with a megaphone by an pro-Palestine protestor.

NOTE: I DIDN’T WITNESS Mr. Kessler get hit, but the scene was so chaotic & heartbreaking (swipe right) to see when I got there.

There was blood on the sidewalk & I saw paramedics loading Mr. Kessler into the back of an ambulance. I also witnessed one of the pro-Palestine protesters (NOT SURE if it was the guy who fatally struck Mr. Kessler) sitting on the curb being questioned by 2 police officers.

This all happened about 5-10 minutes from where I live. As a life long resident of Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village, the area is one of the safest suburbs of Los Angeles and I’m beyond shocked & appalled by everything that unfolded yesterday. Sending my deepest condolences to Mr. Paul Kessler’s family and loved ones.

It’s so heartbreaking that the world is still filled with so much hate and that so many antisemitic attacks & hate crimes are happening across the world!!!! 💔💔💔

Tomorrow marks exactly one month since Hamas invaded Israel. I am not Jewish, but I can’t even imagine what my friends who are Jewish and the rest of the Jewish community are/have been going thru rn. I’m here to listen & support all of you. 💙🤍🇮🇱 taken in Westlake Village, California by @brioard
