I was super hard on myself last night over a bad treadmill run 🙃 so let me make a post hyping myself up. Between March and June I ran 1-3 miles, once or twice a week. I ran 8 5k races during that time. This past July, my mileage tripled and I am running 3-4 days out the week. Taking full advantage of Hot Teacher Summer. Signing up for two half marathons was not on the bingo card either. One bad run was gonna minimize all of that y’all 😂 if you don’t boohoo about it, do you really want it?

I recently became more active with a run club (@trackhawksrun). Surround yourself with good people. People who want to see you succeed and improve. Everyone I met has been inspiring and kind. I think meeting them during this era of my running journey was meant to give me the push I needed.

This is the only run I have recorded in the past 2 weeks of half marathon training. I ran my first 9 miler on Sunday. Next is 11 miles 🫣🔥

Not every training week is going to be explosive, show drastic change, or be as high impact. Show up every time ready to move and become 1% better 🌳

I finished week 4 training and I am proud for showing up on the days I had low energy. It is supposed to be shark week soon; so this could be the cause.

Choosing to be active is not always easy. Sometimes the workout can be challenging, you’re nervous about taking a new class, or don’t feel like doing it. But once you’re finally into it or done - everything is worth it. That’s the fun in choosing movement.

Week 3 of half marathon training is done. Won’t lie I am a bit tired lol the day of my longest run ever (8.52 miles thangya) I saw Tame Impala. Not much of a post for it, I was on a treadmill and recorded nothing lol. I am tired but the version of myself in the Fall will be so happy I didn’t quit 🤸🏾‍♂️✨
