Dr Martin boots from The British Boot Company back in the early 2000’s Shot on 35mm and was used for an album cover Later after working with Steve Roberts ( know for drumming in U.K Subs, Exploited, The Damned and many more ) he asked if he could have these boots. I have them to him and I’m not sure what happened to them after that as unfortunately he passed away a few years ago. Hope he’s wearing them in heaven RIP Photo : Rosso @rosso_film_photography Boots from @britishboot_co #drmartins #skins #camden #londonpunks #britishpunk by @britishboot_co

About a month ago I was contacted by a mate in the mainstream music world. He said ' Lawsee I have this American Oi band in desperate need for a guy for a week to sort their tour out, he said , he told the band ' I know just the man' I laughed and said ' Are you sure it's like a proper Oi band' . But luckily I had a gap in my diary and duty calls , when it's our scene in need . So I said ok. Not really knowing what to expect I took it on the chin and headed for the airport. We went from london to Gateshead, Blackpool to Wales and now on the last leg heading for Spain What I met was some really top guys mostly from Houston Texas . The music being American Hardcore . What I so love about our scene is the like mindedness and parallel lives. The stories and connections of how it made its way across the world . The challis being passed along and down through the ages Liberty and Justice are not just nice guys, they are very good musicians, and do a great show, full of integrity and message. Dealing with their real life issues of drug abuse, addiction, racial divide, ICE and life on the Streets of Trumps USA in the Skinhead world Check them out, and I hope to see this band gaining momentum in UK and Europe in the near future liberty and justice by @britishboot_co
Suited & Booted Popped into the legendary @britishboot_co to pick up a pair of leather @georgecoxfootwear Dano pointed creepers. Got my first pair of these from SEX - 50-odd years ago, served by Jordan. Had a great natter with owner Nick Roumana about Camden, Yoof cultures, music, footwear, social history and local shops. This family business has been going since 1851 and originally supplied hobnail boots and clogs to the Irish navvies who built North London’s canals and railways. They stock the finest selection of subcultural footwear in London and continue to cover the plates of every generation of rebels, misfits - or just people of impeccable taste. One of the very last original family businesses left in Camden Town. I used to pop in here on my way home from school in the ‘70’s - alongside the Rock On record shop that was next door. Read more about this in my book and graphic novel “The Nudniks of 1977” ( availible on my Linktree) In an age of identical high-street shops and soul-less knock-off boutiques, Camden Town’s very own @britishboot_co is a beacon of hope still shining bright. Pay ‘em a visit when you’re next on the manor. #1977punk #skinhead #camdentown #theclash by @britishboot_co
