Whilst the photos in no way do the meal justice, here are some embarrassingly bad pics of my favourite dishes from last nights meal at @nothingsacredbkk.

Whilst the menu changes daily, depending on market availability, at the moment it is centred around dry aged, line caught Thai seafood with their supplier using the Japanese technique of ikijime (believed to impact the flavour and texture of the seafood) as well as lots of ferments.

They use different wood to smoke different dishes (tamarind for the revelationary pumpkin with crab roe, pork and chilli, lychee for the Andaman amberjack) and use as much of the whole product as possible with river prawn being used for its fat, meat and even a reduced tomalley caramel.

The intimate space seats a maximum of 10 at the kitchen counter making it perfect for small groups or even a private dinner with friends, and this combined with @a.jarvis interactive playlist, and @novi_scott_ warm but slick and professional service makes it somewhere special for a delicious and different Bangkok night out 🫶🏻 taken in Nothing Sacred by @britishgirlabroad

Possibly my favourite of all the Phak Nor (ผักเหนาะ) plates we’ve done so far 🔥

Dry palo duck egg, pickled greens, torch ginger flower, banana stem, raw green beans, cashew leaves and pickled bean sprouts which are my new obsession - who knew?! by @britishgirlabroad

The team at @chopchopbangkok always look after me so well, and this delicious (part of our staff meal, sorry) laphet thoke, slid over the kitchen counter by one of our chefs with a big smile on his face, came at just the right moment to remind me (albeit fleetingly) of the healing powers of food & community.

I do wish those same healing powers could take down a military dictatorship - sorry, sorry - CiViLLiAn gOverNmeNt though. taken in Yaowarat Road by @britishgirlabroad
