The first almost half of this year has been filled with so much art. I’ve been performing music, burlesque, and poetry, figure modeling like it’s my day job (it is, blessed be 🙏), I read tarot for the monthly tarot and writing workshop I am part of, and I started experimenting with putting a band together (play an instrument?? hmu!!). I have become really really bad at documenting life. I used to be so good at the at once authentic and performative vulnerability that the algorithm demands, but it stopped feeling important, it stopped feeling easy. Just Being without the pressure of farming my life for content had been really nice. However, my social media growth has suffered and that’s not super helpful to my career goals. And there is something about sharing your life that grounds it; being seen is sometimes the mirror we need to fully appreciate how far we’ve come. In true Libra stellium fashion, I am making it a goal to strike a healthy balance between the Hermit life and fully plugging in. Though, I am very proud of and attached to my weekly screen time (4 hours or less 🤪) but I always know when the time to shift has come. These amazing bts photos by @alexia.haick were from the shoot for @theloveofjupitershortfilm by the genius that is @matroggian back in January. When I first arrived at that magical house waaay out on Long Island and went down to the basement to shoot this scene and witnessed all the cables and lights and earnest people working so hard, aligned in that alchemic shared goal of making something special, my eyes filled with tears. It was a dream!! A dream come true 🥰 It set the tone for a year that, so far, has been one of momentum, and of exceeding my own expectations of what I am actually capable of. I am very humbled and grateful down to my bones. There are 2 chances to see me perform this month! May 21 at @nursebettienyc where I will be debuting two brand new acts !!! I made a boa!!!!
