I took these photos for my 31st birthday and they mean much more to me than meets the eye. Ive had an insane year, gone through alot, and so much to be thankful for. These photos are me lifting my head out of the water. Im more than myself than I ever have been in my entire life. The little girl who wished she was the damsel in her fantasy movies and books is now the heroine in her own story, riding bare back through the forest on a horse. ♡ I fought tooth and nail for authenticity and I feel like this moment it illuminates that victory perfectly. Thank you everyone who has supported me i couldn't do it without you.

"Ambivalence" oil on board - is about the strange cruelty of being wounded by the same system that creates beauty.

Roses grows their thorns from the same body that creates their blossoms.
For me, this is the creative brain, but also the autistic brain.

The intensity that allows me to feel, imagine, obsess so deeply is the same thing that overwhelms me. My mind can be an endless source of beauty and simultaneously a prison I cant escape.

There is a melancholy ache in loving something that can hurt you. Our passions consume us and sensitivities overwhelm us.

The things we love most have access to the vulnerable parts of us because we love them so deeply.

Id love to hear your thoughts on what you assume the meaning behind the white rabbit is 🐇 🌹

Lost Woods ~

Is anyone else stoked for the new ocarina of time? Alot of my love for fantasy and its influence in my art is thanks to the many hours spent on my 64 after school. I always wondered if they ever did a spin off of saria's story. I know link and her were besties, but i kind of shipped them~☆
