I long for the salt air in my hair, I have a thing for mouse ears and I love films more than most, especially ones about a galaxy far, far away. šŸŽ¬šŸāœØ

Happy Birthday, Attack of the Clones! ✨ Thank you for being in my very soul, tormenting me for the last 21 years. There was a time where I would watch this film every night before I went to bed because I never wanted to be away from these characters (it was the summer Revenge of the Sith was released and it took six months for a physical release, it was torture!). I spent my days listening to Across the Stars while biking around my small town and my nights falling asleep to the quiet moments between these two. While Revenge of the Sith inspired me to study film and made me realize my wildest dreams, Attack of the Clones gave me my favourite film to quote when nobody asked me anything having to do with Star Wars. Cheers to 21 years, AOTC! I truly, deeply love you. #VSCO taken in Villa del Balbianello by @brittbarnim

Hello There! My name is Britt Barnim. I’m a professional photographer who loves films more than most, especially ones about a galaxy far, far away. From the books I read to the films I watch, I find comfort in the imaginary and the fantastical. My creative soul is what drove me towards photography and my deep love of film fostered my lifelong dream of working in the film industry. Let me take your photograph. šŸŽ„āœØ

It’s been a week since a dream I never let myself have came true! I had the enormous honour and privilege to attend the premiere of #IndianaJones and the Dial of Destiny at the Dolby Theatre (the theatre the Oscar’s are held every year!!!) in Hollywood. Ever since I was a little girl, my entire world has revolved around film. Besides my beloved Ana-kitty Skywalker, film has been my greatest love in this world. I found myself while watching Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala on the silver screen when I was 11 years old, and I was in the room with the man responsible for my life’s pursuit of a creative career, George Lucas, seven days ago. I cried listening to John Williams perform live, something I never thought I would experience in my lifetime. I was mere metres away from Harrison Ford, my mother’s idol, and the man whose name I joke I knew before my own. This franchise has meant so much to the two of us and to be in the room with the human beings accredited for bringing the man in the hat to life was overwhelming in the best way. I could say so much more, but it’s been a week and I still cannot find words adequate enough to describe this indescribable feeling. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to @thegeekywaffle for letting me tag along on their adventure and thank you @lucasfilm for truly making my wildest dreams come true. #DialOfDestiny is a heartwarming adieu to one of cinema’s greatest adventurers and a wonderful final chapter that will leave you feeling like you can take on the world in a way only Indy can.

One day you’re 14 years old listening to this band called The Maine and the next thing you know, you’re 32 years old…and you’re still listening to this band called The Maine! šŸ¦‹ I’m so grateful to still be listening to The Maine after all these years and how their music has seen me through over half of my life.

ā€œAnakin, all I want is your loveā€¦ā€ šŸ„€ || I lived my best ā€œlet the rain fall down and wake my dreamsā€ life this morning in a rain-soaked Batuu East! I’ve always admired anyone who took the time to recreate any of Padmé’s iconic looks from the films because I’ve never had the confidence to do so myself. I hope that will change at some point in the near future but for now I’m grateful these ears exist and I can live as close to my Revenge of the Sith Padmé loving life as possible.

Some things truly never change! šŸŽ„āœØšŸæ It’s been a little over a week since I celebrated my birthday the only way I know how…by watching the doomed love affair between Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala come to it’s tragic conclusion in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith at the smallest theatre in the world, The Little Prince Micro-Cinema. For nearly twenty years, this film has been in my very soul…tormenting me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Allow me to reintroduce myself: My name is Britt Barnim and I have a slight (*massive*) obsession with Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala! ✨ If the permanent ink I have isn’t any indication, maybe the fact I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Revenge of the Sith since it was released nearly twenty years ago does. I simply wouldn’t be the same person if I hadn’t had my heart absolutely shattered by the star-crossed lovers of the galaxy far, far away. Thank you, @emmaannephoto, for capturing my true Anakin and Padmé loving self! You’ve been an inspiration to me for 15 years and I’m so grateful to call you a friend. taken in Winter Park, Florida by @brittbarnim

Happy New Year! šŸ„‚ I couldn’t imagine a better way to ring in 2025 than watching the film that shattered my heart and changed my life forever! This year marks twenty years of Revenge of the Sith, a fact I can hardly believe. I will never forget how I felt sitting under a sea of stars watching this tragedy unfold at my local drive in theatre in May, 2005. I’d never felt the heartbreak I felt witnessing the fall of Anakin Skywalker or the butterflies when Anakin and Padmé reunite at the beginning of the film before their star-crossed love took its final bow. Those precious feelings led me to chase impossible dreams I’m still chasing today and gifted me heroes I still admire with all of my heart. Without this film, I simply wouldn’t be me and I cannot wait to celebrate the mark it’s made on me throughout the entirety of this year. I hope this new year is kind to you all and you’re able to make every moment feel like magic! ✨ #VSCO by @brittbarnim

ā€œAll things die, Anakin Skywalker…even stars burn out.ā€ || I had to say goodbye to my beloved Ana-kitty Skywalker today after 17 beautiful years together and I am heartbroken. He’s been my best friend since I was 11 years old and the love of my life. I hope with all of my heart he knew how much I love him and how he made me feel a little less lonely in this world while he was here. I love you, Anakin, and a piece of my heart went with you today. by @brittbarnim

How I feel whenever I think about the fact Natalie Portman said she was open to reprising her role as Padmé Amidala at Cannes Film Festival this past weekend (or the fact it’s been 18 years since Revenge of the Sith ripped out my heart, and stomped on it repeatedly)…#VSCO by @brittbarnim
